Hi,
I took out a 256Gb sd card and put in a 512Gb this one is V30 U with a 3 in it. Since then I have had problems. The m6 did not seem to go into deep-standby as the battery was draining extremely fast compared with before. There were also problems with extremely slow boot from off or rebooting . So I tried a factory resets, and I am waiting to see if the battery goes back to normal.
The factory reset uninstalled the foobar2000 app though and I am having a really tuff time getting it to reinstall. I've tried the latest stable version the 32bit the 64 bit, the arm and the x86 and I've tried the 1.2.14 version that I had on there before. Non will install. The install screen briefly appears and then disappears with the continue option greyed out. I remember having trouble getting it on there before but I'm not sure what I did that finally worked. Any suggestions or help from anybody would be greatly appreciated.
Also as a note, the new 512Gb card I am using is formatted to NTFS because I could not get windows to format to Fat32, which I think is because of a size limitation.
So thanks for any thoughts or help on this. I tried switching back to my phone but the sound difference is so noticeable.
Edit: Okay I did find the "Kernal tap," way to unlock third party apps. I will leave this here in case someone has any ideas as to why the player started using up the battery so fast.

Can this player still do streaming in 2023 ? Just wondering if I would be able to use Apple music on it , if not already Spotify lite or something .

Thanks
Well, I’ve been waiting for this as well but it seems FiiO has not supported nor updated the M6 for some years now. To use Apple Music I connect my iPhone via AirPlay to the M6 and play Apple Music through this connection.

Well that's the whole point of having a dap so I can disconnect from phone.

I have tried android daps as well Sony a-105 still too distracting . There's something about pure music players that help me unwind, my old sands clip still works wonders in this regard .But I was looking at an offline player which can atleast stream as well and is closed system not full blown android hence looking at M6.

Anyway , would you be able to check if Spotify lite works on in ?

I wish there was a newer player like M6 but seems like all companies have gone aboard with android daps now , not too mention they are super expensive too.

I don't use paid streaming, I use internet radio a lot. As an application on my M6 I use VRADIO which also allows me to listen to radios with HI RES type SuperStereo (HiRes 24-bit/192kHz, HiRes 24-bit/96kHz and 16-bit/44.1kHz) or simply radios at 128K/ 256K
