Thanks for answering. One more question. Does it have seeking? Pressing the << or >> button while a song is playing for fast forward or going backwards.


I plan on trying it, sure. From what I read it's stable enough save for a couple of bugs like you mention. Does it continue being developed? Last build is from October, is Vortex around?

Seeking is not supported in M3K now. We will try to add in later firmwre update. Or you could consider the M5 instead.

Just updated to firmware 1.3
LOVE the 3 custom EQs as have 3 most used cans and have eqed each.
I still use mine hours a day and bought one for my wife, she is loving hers as well!
I read and heard a few bugs latest firmware, but would sure like shuffle within artist, anyone using this with success please?

Dear friend,

Do you mean that you would like to shuffle play the music of a certain artist? You could select the music from category-artist first, then select the play mode to shuffle mode in play settings.

Today received mine. I'm already in love with this little guy. Inserted my 64gb sd card and updated the music library at the moment. Sound is astonishing!

1. Added a new "Cover display" setting item under the Play Settings to control whether the Playback screen and Lock screen will display the Album cover or not.
2. Added a new "Lyrics display" setting item under the Play Settings to control whether the lyrics are displayed in the Playback screen.
3. Added the "Replay gain" setting item under the Play Settings to turn on/off the replay gain function.
4. Added a new "file name display" setting item under the System Settings to switch between title/file name display.
5. Added "All Songs" under Category -> Artist, which brings together all the songs of the selected artists.
6. Fixed issue where the M3K may restart automatically when playing a particular type of tracks.
7. Fixed issue where holding the Return key would take effect even when screen is locked.

Been using the latest firmware for the past week it's good, though Fiio still haven't figured out how to have an equaliser function without totally destroying the UI through lag

I wish the EQ had finer smoother control. I also they had a built in spectrum analyzer. Something that looks like this thing that I found on Amazon.

For example,
I have 10 albums from the same artist listed when in "Browse Files",
But only 3 listed in "Category"
I have Factory reset many times to no avail.
I also have never seen all songs as far as total number goes compairing "Browse" to " Category" seems strange?
I only use manual update as always remove micro sd card to edit, add music, using computer.
Sure would like to get shuffle within artist to work!
Still love listening to my little friend, just wish he would function to full potential.

Does the album name be added to the tag of the files correctly? Or you could share some files to us for check?

Soundwise is great, agreed. But UI is laggy as hell and have many annoyances. Scrolling through folders is incredibly slow. Albums titles scroll is also desperately slow, you just can sit and wait to see the whole title. Now, press the buttons to lower or increase the volume: guess what... you have to wait until the volume effectively goes down or up. Can't understand how can this happen from a quality brand.

NOTE: I'm using the last fw (1.4.3). My unit is new, bought two weeks ago.

Soundwise it's great, but when i'm playing music (FLAC files but i noticed that it happens on mp3 as well) the UI is really laggy.
Scrolling through files is really really slow...
Is it normal?
