Just in case anyone has missed it (it's been discussed on some threads already but not this one) there is a tasty 10% discount on purchases over £100 on advancedmp3players (http://www.advancedmp3players.co.uk).
 
The code is AMP14 and even works on the forthcoming Sony ZX2 (reducing price by nearly £100 to a mere £854.10).
 
Note: It doesn't seem to work on all products (e.g. LCD-3 headphones) and I heard one chap say it didn't work on his mobile device but did work on a desktop browser so bear this in mind if you are having problems.

Just bought the new marantz HD-dac1, really good dac/amp combo btw, and was also wondering if it would be useful to buy the DT 990 600 ohm, just as a test for it, at that price, i guess i would be able to resell it in the future, at a slight loss perhaps? any input is greatly appreciated.
May also buy the k550, old one has served me more than 3 years in a row as go to closed can and i can vouch for it's durability and at that price it's a steal. (well, to me at least, sound preferences may vary ).
