Thank you, I managed to read through a few posts and they said exactly what you have said.

I think you have helped my decision to go for the HD650. I will add a toxic silver widow to smoothed out any harshness and hopefully add some excitement if I find it a little laid back. I doubt I will mod as I'm terrible at such things.

 
I prefer the 650 to the 800 as well. For me the 800 lacks bass and has too sharp highs. It is more spatial but that's too much of a good thing in the 800 IMO.
The 650 needs a silver cable though to remove the veil and open up the highs. That also gives you a more spatial sound.
The best silver cables to my knowledge are indeed the toxic silver widow.

Many people absolutely love the 800 but some don't like it all that much, preferences ...
This is regardless of liking the 650 or not, you could love both, it's a totally different headphone, not a cheaper HD800.
Quite a few people love the 650 with the Zana though, it's a really nice match.

Does anyone have the ZD over three years?
 
May I have some pictures about your amp?
 
Because I have to sell the ZDSE recently, when I sent the amp's pictures to the buyers, they think my amp's case condition is not quit well.
 
They think the case color shouldn't fade so bad.
 
But I know the amp's temperature is so hot, this situation is almost unavoidable.
 
I can't find any picture which can support my opinion. 
 
May I have your help? That will be very appreciate.

That case wear looks really odd. My ZD is at least 2 years old and doesn't have any fading like that.

Looks really nice. What other headphones do you use? I'm deciding between the HD 650 or the new Sony MDR Z1R. Gumby and ZDS will be powering them.

I will only ever use one headphone so I wouldn't buy both.
