amp7
More powerful indeed, but do you also mean better sound quality ?This module should have a better output. My amp1ii is less than the highlighted voltage rating...

I believe so.
My amp1mkii is for true efficiency & portability, including a real battery saver.
But the imaging & overall sq is less, compared to the amp9...
Hi, could you help me with a solution, today i've changed the battery, it was very easy and i didn't touched anything else. But after that, the sound is with big distortions, sometimes it dissappears and sometimes is normal but just at high volume.
Could be something from contacts of amp?

Try removing and reinstalling the AMP module first and look at the contacts to make sure they are clean, etc. Then if you still have problems try a factory reset.Hi, could you help me with a solution, today i've changed the battery, it was very easy and i didn't touched anything else. Let us know how it goes.

You can mask off the faulty contact on the left and right, clean / polish and attach a new conductor track.
with a little skill this can be done quickly

Can you please elaborate on this? If I, for example use Qobuz native app on DX220 does it go through Android resampling? Or it works directly with DX220 DACs like USBAPP?Forget it: iBasso has modified Android audio path in all their DAPs.
I ma sure this question has been answered before bu I just got DX220 few days ago.
From the product page on MoonAudio: "The DX220 uses the open Android 8.1 system. The audio system has been reworked so it now allows third-party apps and the SRC uses has now been eliminated. "
SRC I understand is the Sample Rate Conversion. The way I understand it is that all apps bypass SRC, Tidal, Qobuz etc.. included. But I am not sure

Hmm.. seems my path is crossing to yours..More powerful indeed, but do you also mean better sound quality ?
Just received back my DX220 for Battery replacement from the local Mod.
And when it came back, there was AMP7. unfortunately it was alrd Mod, so it's not the original one. Since I never tried it, so I am gladly to accept.
Since I am on earbud mode. so my highlight as below:
- Imaging, Depth Soundstage, Dynamic & micro detail will be the major Highlight.
- Vocal detail, I prefer AMp1Mk2. Vocal Lush, I choose AMP9.
- Mid Bass on AMP7 is the right portion detail & punchy, IMHO. Yet AMP8EX-FE will add more impact if you want to compare...
- The separation is better then AMp1Mk2, almost a pair to AMP8EX-FE.
- I felt AMP7 will give better imaging then AMP8EX-FE, in earbud. unfortunately I dont have headphone anymore to clarify that...
Just take this impression as grain of salt...
EDIT : so to give you a picture,
using earbud VE Zen 2.0 (320 ohm) with the same parameter like Low Gain, Digital filter 2, & using MANGO OS
AMP7 Mod around volume 55 - 60 (using adapter Fiio 4.4TRRS to 3.5SE)
AMP8EX-FE around volume 35-44
IMO, same loudness... but AMP7 seems give slight better imaging... while AMP8EX-FE give better clarity....
Edit 2:
Find AMP7 slightly better handle Floor noise then AMP8EX-FE...
hmm... seeing stack of AMP, amazed me...

I need help. I flashed the latest OTA firmware and then Lurker's DX220-A8.1-L1.25b1-sdupdate.zip from bootable sdcard. I have done this before, and it always worked. Now, after removing the SD card, the system is booting up, the initial iBasso screen is running, but eventually Android does not appearing, and eventually the screen wents black.
What can I do? Is there any way to flash the original OTA firmware from a bootable SDcard?

Have you tried using the Android Tool from your computer? See the very first post in this thread where Paul provided a link. That should allow you to load/reload any img file desired so you need one of those files downloaded as well.I need help. is aimed at those who have problems like me of the sudden shutdown of the dx220, try to disable the display timeout, I have never put it on and for some time it hasn't stopped.
