Now I have another problem, my PC does not recognize it, if I put photo transfer it recognizes it, if I put file transfer it does not recognize it. Is there any particular procedure to do to connect the device to the PC?
I solved the problem, I practically left the device disconnected from charging for a few hours, after which I connected it and started charging, thank goodness, I was already thinking about assistance ...
That's what I was talking about: it hung on shutdown due to low battery. Then it charged, but showed nothing. When you left it alone, it discharged and was turned off by the power controller.
If I use optical out to feed my DAVE/Mscaler from the DX220 would there be any SQ difference or battery drain different between Android Mango vs stand-alone Mango app? The Android Mango seems easier to navigate and has ability to search for a song or artist quickly.
Why when you enable the equalize, the sound drops on level? I’m not very familiar with equalization and I would like to try but on this situation I prefer to run on a normal state instead in activate any eq

In FW releases up to 1.13.202 when EQ is activated there is a 6dB drop across the frequency spectrum to minimize the possibility of clipping/increased distortion levels (as Vince mentions above). If you set all sliders to +6dB and turn EQ on/off you will find no change in the sound level. With the release of FW 1.15.233 they implemented a much greater drop which I elaborated on in this post: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/dx2...ilable-and-dc01.898388/page-611#post-15322925
Now if you are using the PEQ, only available in Android mode, there is no cut in level prior to the application of the PEQ settings so it can be very easy to end up with clipping and distortion - at least this was the case on FW up to 1.13.202. I did not check PEQ in 1.15.233 and have gone back to 1.13.202.
I feel like I should share my way of keeping tracks up to date on my DX220 as their seems to be so much discussion on the subject.
I use a 512 GB Micro SD (Extreme) from SanDisk. I have somewhere between 8k and 9k tracks and (after pre-seeding) it never takes more than 10 mins for me to update the SD.
This is what I do:
First my entire music library is on my laptops hard disk (700Gb+)
The tracks I have on my DX220 are all kept in a sub directory 'DX220'
I take the SD card out of the player and put it in a usb caddy.
I then use robocopy to copy my music to it with the mirror switch:
the proper procedure is laid out in this thread several times, and it's in the owners guide. it goes something like this: connect usb from computer to the dap in android mode, swipe down from top of screen and see "usb connected" or something like that, tap on that then choose "transfer files", then commence to drag and drop or cut and paste or however you want
Right so i plugged in my dx220 to usb port on pc and it does not recognize it. Just nothing happens. It does charge though.
Is there anuthing i need to do?
Sorry if its a dumb question did not do much research about it
