Software is what drives the hardware so why not? Seems like the new firmware unveils the cover off a top frequency
but then again if you are treble sensitive, that's a different story. As a very treble sensitive personal I found it
somewhat uncomfortable at time but it sounds so crystal clear that I decide to adjust my ears to it.

Trying to use my dx220 as a USB dac from my laptop. Anyone having issues with the output constantly switching from onboard sound to dx220 by itself? Switches back and forth constantly. If I disable the onboard sound, music plays and stutters and I get the message that the output device has been disconnected, then it reconnects and plays and the loop continues.

I had a problem with the stock cable, I bought another and there are no problems

Swap the usb cable and check if it improves or stays the same with a different one.

Try another usb socket at your laptop if there is more than one.

Thanks for the suggestions. Will give it a shot with another cable and USB port and update again.

More changes than just the mentioned above? Performance or sound changes? Just to know if it’s worth to update, I see that for some of us if those changes are the only ones, at least for me i will stay away of this update
