no point to release with M15 now , at least let it burn-in first....and after that
Personally yes FiiO releases are too fast, I hate it when they keep releasing but until now they still don’t have mqa certification like our dx220! Secondly, we have the option of modular amps which FiiO still doesn’t have, still no innovation there . To me , the battleground is really in the mid range, dx160 and Hiby R5 really sound good and break new ground in this area.

Fiio doesn’t have discrete Amplifier and Amp8 we have is a discrete. Pretty interesting how Fiio is doing though

Just want to share AMP8EX FE.
After 50 hours Burn in.. Guess I bring this, in hope to tried to demo with the new Solaris...
When tried with other IEM.. I was shock how bad the sound... and get back to Solaris.. wew, it's different. My concern is Female vocal, in Solaris, everything is in places...
But on other IEM, it was V shaped... while the IEM characters supposed to be MidCentric with Boost...
Hahaha... usually DX221mk2 is known to make regular IEM felt shining... now... is different... well glad to know in the beginning...
My point, DX220 with AMP8EX FE is transparent and honest... cheers...

@fokta DX220+AMP8EX FE sounds fantastic with my Solaris SE. Both of them over 50hr+ burn in. Tested with OG solaris & andromeda with similar results. Clear, holographic staging with everything in its own place. The mids are sweet. My old solaris & andro have at least over 2k+ hrs each.
@Whitigir yes i definately heard the subtle differences during the 1st 50hrs of burn in for amp8ex fe. Like what u mention earlier. Its fun!

Not only that. DX220/amp8EXFE are really shine with Empire Ears CIEMs. I really like the SQ with Spartan IV and Eros II 8wire. Next, I wouldn’t doubt with Phantom the combo will be more pleasant to listen too...

24Hrs burn-in period, sound has opened up quite a lot. Yes they do sound reference level, the AMP8 Fidelizer mod was a bit more warm, but i loving this amp so much more now. Bass is certainly there, making my U12T shine.
Amp8exfe was a little too round and lacked details in comparison to Fidelizer amp8ex mod initially but after about 48 hours of burn-in, it opened up noticeably.
The ampexfe's starting to shine in all dimension as it's getting baked. The improvement may be subtle from this point but will continue to observe.

There are 3 different Fidelizer mods for the AMP units and 2 mods for the DX220, please specify what ones you’re talking about when mentioning his mod.
