Amp8 Module and DX220 !

This is Amp8-EX! It is mind blowing with Dx220 after 50+ hours burn-in only! There are more details and body as the 220 continue to burn-in

Think it was the tempered glass that was going to cause a less responsive screen not the fine film one

Why cover the dap with a restrictive case ? Wouldnt that make the dap hotter ? Is looks more important that allowing the heat escape faster ?

Doesn’t matter, these new Transistors and components can still operate even at 80C......and some can even go as hot as 150C. That is 176F to 305F or whatever.

The human skin and harmful heat is another matter. That answer above were just to answer your question regarding the protective case.

By the way, @Lurker0 may be able to answer and clarify this, but Dx220 can be blazing fast, judging of how the Main CPU is now thermally conductive toward the chassis for better heat dissipation

Just ordered, always had excellent customer service with amp3 :)

@Paul - iBasso is the screen protector already applied out of the box?
There is no screen protector applied on the front. It degrades the touch response but a plastic film can be used. The back of the DX220 comes with a clear plastic applied but that is for shipping. There are protectors in the box for the back as well.

A note on using the burn-in cable. It is there to replace headphones or IEMs sound you don't have any sound but the process of current going through the components and caps being formed etc., is accomplished. I do not advise a volume level much above a normal listening volume for an extended period of time. This causes more heat and stress to components. Of course some headphones may need a near max volume if this is required but that would not be on a 24/7 period of time. So it is best for the longevity of your DX to use a normal or a little bit above normal volume for the burning in of the DX220 or other DX model. The same is true for burning in headphones or IEMs. We have gotten a few IEMs back that were defective. Upon inspection, we could tell that they had been used at a very high volume as the coil wire was burned. Something to think about. And, Please Enjoy the Music!

Hey, Chris from Advanced MP3 Players here. That date is just a preliminary estimate based on when we can get the order placed, shipped and imported. I would imagine it will be before the 24th, but we wanted to use a conservative estimate to avoid dissapointment should there be any delays.

Hi Chris first time I’ve l ordered from you :) hopefully I’ll get it soon as I ordered early.

Must admit fantastic price with an amp 8 as well :)

You will be just fine, just make sure you don’t play DSD512...LoL
What battery life do you have with it? Around 5h?
7 and close to 8 hours with all 16/44.1 WaV or Flac
