Also, I can confirm my Effect Audio pentaconn 4.4mm pigtail adapter works without a spacer with AMP8. The same adapter does require a spacer with AMP4.
This might sound like an odd question but why do people need a spacer ?

There’s no sound from the left channel if I don’t use a spacer. I have the EA pentaconn plug as well, and it doesn’t work well with the AMP4s, leading me to think that the amp4/4s weren’t using pentaconn female sockets. This might sound like an odd question but why do people need a spacer ?

You need to let the AMP8 burn in.I've been A/Bing AMP4 and AMP8 with my Legend X and right now I'm sticking with AMP4. Still need many more hours of testing though as I'm sure AMP8 needs more burn-in. I prefer the extra treble extension on the 4 since my Legends and Thor II 8 wire smooth it out so the extra treble smoothness the 8 offers isn't needed. The 4 is feeling more energetic and musical but that could be brain burn-in for the time being since it's been my daily driver. I'll spend more time with the 8 this weekend, it does offer tighter bass and I hear better layering in the vocals, but personally I gravitate toward drum sounds and instrumentation since I'm a musician and the 4 is more pleasing to my ears. Also, the extra juice the 8 puts out drains the battery faster and I noticed the battery dropping while plugged in via USB which I don't notice with the 4. Since the Legends don't need the extra juice I'm sure full sized headphones will benefit more from the 8.
What type of adapter to USB for charging are you using? I use a 2.1 amps unit and it will charge the DX200 or DX150 while they are being played with the AMP8. Earlier today I was using the DX150 off the charger and it was down to around 80% and it charged up just fine. Yesterday the DX200 did the same.

Did anyone order AMP7 at all? Really curious how it compares to AMP2 & AMP5.
I bought back AMP2 from the person I sold it to, since I found AMP5 a bit hot on the lower treble (when used with my car speakers). If it fixes that one issue, while still keeping AMP5's warmth, I'll likely order it.

I got it. It is the *insert adjective here* best sounding single ended amp I have heard. Not hot at any freq. and different from the AMP8 but less great sounding. It really is surprising me. During burn in, there were times I preferred AMP7 to 8 but they both have a signature and both complement the music. I could easily live with just AMP7 and AMP8.Did anyone order AMP7 at all? And with AMP8 or AMP7 comparing to the WM1Z in single ended to single ended and balanced to balanced, the DX200 is better, IMO.

I corrected it. I feel. . . (insert adjective etc.) I left out the descriptive term I meant to use. lolBest? Worst? Nicest? Sexiest? Hottest? ....?
People will need to let the AMP8 burn in. I am now hearing things I did not hear before in that there is more of a 3D sound, timbre that is true and more than I thought would happen.
