Great review ! Thanks. I have the DK-2001 and as u said great cable and i also use (from the beginning) the orange eartip. For anyone interested, looks like these recently appeared on German Amazon at a reasonable price (250 eur).
Just noticed the Patented Quick-Switch Modular Plugs are discontinued on your US website. I'm concerned because I was considering purchasing your DK-2001 or DK-3001 Pro and I may not be able to pick up the adaptor I may need in the future.
The Patented Quick-Switch Modular Plugs are still available on our US website at https://www.dunu-topsound.com/shop?Collection=ACCESSORIES and will continue in production throughout the world. May we know where did you see that it says discontinued? We can look into the problem.

Thanks. Everything looks good now. Earlier today the modular plugs were on Dunu-Topsound shop direct page. They do not even show on the shop direct page as it looks like they have their own accessories page now. It may have been something caused by updating the website.
Glad it works now! We will definitely have our technicians to look into the glitch.
Just as a heads up to everyone considering the DK-2001, we recently received word from our factory that they cleared out all stock and will be discontinuing it, so the DK-2001 (all colors) is sold out indefinitely. They told us that there was a small batch of turquoise left, but that it was spoken for and shipped to a dealer already, meaning that in order for us to restock, we'd have to request a recall.
The DK-2001's imminent discontinuation may come as a surprise to people, as it's only been on the market for about 1 year. However, we need to make room for our upcoming products such as the ZEN (and the DK-2001's successor) on the production line, so it was discontinued early. We'll be updating our hybrid DK models in 2021, starting with the DK-2001.

It is disconcerting that such a wonderful IEM is being discontinued so quickly.

Maybe something better is coming out.
It was a surprise to us as well. We had wanted to seamlessly transition from the current generation to the next by having a predetermined reserve, but our batches of stock got quickly snatched up, creating a sudden void. Unfortunately, we do need to re-tool our production line for upcoming products, so we won't be making it.
We certainly hope that we improve with each generation! The successor to the DK-2001 will also be a 4-driver hybrid, just with a new twist or two.

A bit of a shame, I was always thinking I might get a pair of the Turquoise ones for, you know, colour coordination and stuff
I really love that colour too, honestly and it was super-tough choosing between that and the orange-y one.

Musicteck USA shows they have the 2001in all 3 colors and the 3001 in stock.
Dang, grab one while you can! DK-2001 is still my top pick at that price point. I am very excited (and worried) to see the successor.

Originally, we had not intended on having its life cycle be this short. The pandemic did change our plans a bit. What we didn't expect was the surge in demand from China.
Yes, we should note that the DK-2001 is 'sold out' only in terms of factory reserves. Our dealers, such as MusicTeck, may very well still have stock! This is a good time to pick one up too, given the holiday season.
