Interesting, I did see this a while back but figured that it was just standard aluminised mylar with too thin aluminum, do let me know if it works for you though. If only single sided laminating machines were cheaper then we could just make some :)
If you can PM me some pics of said machine I can see what I can do :beerchug:

Honestly I'm not sure what they look like, just heard about them and their high price tag.

Hmmm.

See I have thought about making my own laminating press, but the thing I haven't been able to figure out would be how to get the mylar to roll out nicely. I have even thought about buying really thin PET tape and seeing if that won't adhere to the aluminum.

Definitely let me know if you succeed as I would definitely be interested in this too :)

Nice work. What material did you use for printing the housing?
For this particular one I have used prusament galaxy pla but I have some laser sintered nylon baffles on the way soon, but they cost significantly more to produce.

For cost reducing, I think that interesting material could be asa275, it can be printed easily as pla but it is strong as abs. I need to try it sometimes.
Definitely got to try this at some point, anyway to reduce the end cost would be nice.

Just a small update. Just run out of magnets so I'm going to put in an order for about 300 more :)

Going to start working on making a kit for the current driver in the meantime and I'm thinking about designing another driver...was thinking I could design a larger upgrade driver for the classic T50rp headphone as I feel that might be interesting, especially as many already have that headphone for modding purposes.

Thought I would also share a picture of my personal set of headphones using my driver's and the headband I talked about before.

Cool, thanks for the info. Cool headphones by the way. What are you seeing as far as DC resistance/impedance on your drivers?
Thanks. This particular driver measured as 18 ohms.
