Mikelap, am I correct in assuming that the second pic (showing the Denons) are the Lawton pads? If so, I'm definitely going to save up and get them. Thanks!
Yes they are the Lawton pads .

What are you guys doing about headbands? That part of my D2000 is also wearing out, any mods anyone willing to share would be appreciated.
Hi,
I don't know too much about Denons, just that they have very good bass. So an advice from you would be useful.
Someone is offering me a pair of D2000 for 200$. Is it a good price?
Currently I own the DT990 Pro for 2 years and I'm in the mood to change them although I like them. How is the D2000 compared to the DT990? Ilisten mostly to Hip Hop, Electronic, Soundtracks.
Thanks in advance for advice.
$200 for a D2000 is a good price for the current market.
Can't help on the comparison to the DT990, sorry.
I sold my Dt990 Pro and am probably keeping the D2000 (I also have Denons D600 which I quite like).
The D2000 has a better bass reproduction and goes lower in frequency than the Dt990 Pro,
It is slightly less airy than the dt990pro in the highs but very good for a (semi) closed headphone. In the mid ramge it is better than the dt990pro - more detail and fortunately not the sibilance (harsh s consonants) of the dt990pro.
Comfort-wise, it is a close call.
200 usd is a good price, you should always be able to sell them again for at least that (provided a good condition).
For easy listening the D600 is sometimes easier on the ears. The D2000 has more highs than the d600 and is more revealing of poorly produced recordings. The D600 also has slightly more bass than the D2000.
