I was in on the same deal for $185. It was on sale for $200 but you could get a $15 discount off for Labor Day if you spent over $100. This baby has been good to me

i'd be happy paying up to 275 tbh considering how good the denons are. huge bang for the buck, kinda like hd 650s. but i think the denons would suit most people more, especially those who don't want to spend money on an amp right away since with the hd 650 usually you have to spend at least 200 on an e7 e9 or something like that

Got mine a couple weeks back by calling on the phone.  The lowest price I could get was $199.99, they wouldn't honor the $15 off web promotion.  They are really great headphones.

I called J&R and they would not budge from $225.
J&R is most definitely not a straight up retailer, though. You can wheel and deal with them.  
It's luck of the draw and I've called in again, but never got below $225.
