Thank you! Yes, effectively it's FIBAE 6, but only it will only be available via massdrop, we don't plan on "civil" version of this IEMEffectively FIBAE 6! Tremendous achievement @piotrus-g!!

I hope I’m wrong, but it’ll probably be acrylic only. Those Massdrop normies wouldn’t know how to take care of silicone monitors
@piotrus-g, an improved Ei.xx sounds really cool! Will you be bringing a demo to CanJam Singapore?

I'm in, thanks for the warning Piotr, you made me wait for this without telling me, but it came in quick.
Small remark: there is no "custom or universal fit" choice at check-out, despite the mention of it in the text.
Now I have to be patient... not exactly my forte, but I still have my AK T8iE and Sirius to keep me company...
PS: I hope these can be shipped from Europe for EU customers, like what happens with the Kennerton headphones. Wouldn't want to pay custom taxes for a product made in Europe.

A trip to the audiologist too soon for me, want to see how the new ones fair before ordering anything new. Good luck with it.
Is this the fibae that's bassy or is that "another" fibae model on the way as well?

Good question indeed, but this one definitely seem to be bassy and fitting Piotr's description, so we shall see.Is this the fibae that's bassy or is that "another" fibae model on the way as well?

Aaah, dang it. I will see what can be done about it. Ships from Poland, as always.I'm in, thanks for the warning Piotr, you made me wait for this without telling me, but it came in quick.

Aaaah man, that's a tough one. I think of FIBAE ME as sort of mix between FIBAE2,3 and Ei.xx - take FIBAE 2 warmth combine with FIBAE3 subbass and add Ei.xx' quantity. The rest is also more like a F2 and F3 mix - so very similar midrange and upper mids and then highs are somewhere between F2 and F3.Great job @piotrus-g

Can you describe th sound signature of this new Fibae compared to the F3?
Overall FIBAE3 is way flatter sounding and has much more airy and lightweight feel, while FIBAE ME is just thick, powerful, full-bodied sound with enough air to not sound dark or recessed.
It is the "bassy" FIBAEA trip to the audiologist too soon for me, want to see how the new ones fair before ordering anything new. Good luck with it.

@piotrus-g Great news Piotr, congrats. Fibae 2 is an amazing iem and I can't imagine how beautiful Fibae 6.
The F2 is incredible with it's engaging fun and musical sound and awesome separation. The F3 is receiving a lot of listening time recently as I am critically listening to begin a review, one in the queue in front of it. Imagine a sound with sub bass rumble but showcasing details and clarity with beautiful treble extension regardless of the source, and that is the F3. I would love to hear anything else that Custom Art has on deck.

This story begins in late 2016 (yes, 2016!). It starts with a meeting with lovely dude named Matt who came all the way down from US to Germany to drop by a show at which Custom Art exhibited. He stopped at our booth and auditioned shortly a single-driver and a quad-driver FIBAE IEM impromptu-prepared prototypes. I remember his excitement about FIBAE technology which back then was in early stages of development and we were only starting to grasp how to work with it. We had long conversation about Custom Art’s plans, schedule and how we saw the progress of building new line up. There was no doubt in either of our minds that what we discussed will eventually have to come to life.
Fast forward few weeks after our meeting I received following e-mail:
“Hi Piotr,
It was great meeting you! I wanted to check-in about the progress of the CIEM with FIBAE. Based on our conversation, I understand this project needs some time to develop. I mainly wanted to let you know it's on our radar and we're certainly interested. When you're ready, I can send you over my ear impressions.
I hope all is well with you! I'll look forward to hearing more about it.
Regards.”
And indeed this project required some time to develop. The reasons for that were few-folds. First of all, the product called for higher driver count (remember it was a time before FIBAE 2 was even at the drawing board). Secondly, the product’s sound had to be, to some extent, based on one of the already existing product without FIBAE technology, but be better, making target response incredibly difficult to maneuver. It had to incorporate the newest most advanced drivers possible. Finally, it had to be reasonably priced, too. That said my hands weren’t exactly tied too, which enabled me to have some of creativity when it came to the actual tuning. Between late 2016 and early 2018 I learned a lot about designing with Flat Impedance drivers, we developed FIBAE 1 and 2 and only recently released FIBAE 3. I think my first brainstorming over this new design started in early 2017. I soldered some prototypes but they never made it out to in-shell testing aka. listening stage. In the summer of 2017 we received a new driver from one of the BA manufacturers and right away I knew this one was ideal for the application. I rearranged driver configuration and the design came together nicely. I took the prototype on vacation (guess I work on vacations too…) of which some pictures were posted on our Social Media pages, creating a bit of a stir. Thus speculations about the driver count, sound signature and all the other details began.
But we kept our secrets tightly locked and only scarce elements of the puzzle were released. Bits and pieces about signature or potential pricing, release date but nothing too specific. No one outside the company/-ies really knew what it’s going to be.
In late 2017 I was quite set on the tuning, but still wasn’t completely sure, something was missing - there were improvements to be made. I kind of knew what I wanted to change but I didn’t really know how to approach those minor changes because they added up to pretty considerable revision. Finally, in December I pinged Matt that we are ready with final design, and a finished earpiece landed in his office few weeks later.
So by now you’re wondering who is this guy Matt? Well… his title reads Audiophile Buyer and he works for Massdrop.
We are proud to announce successor to Ei.xx – Custom Art FIBAE Massdrop Exclusive IEM!
Custom Art and Massdrop have long history of cooperation dating back well to the 2014. We were the second custom IEM company to be featured on the website, with the unbroken partnership since then.
Ei.xx became a crucial part of our line up and highly requested product with extraordinary, nearly flash-like sales when whole drop would be sold out in the matter of 7 hours. Ei.xx’ sound - big bass and smooth highs was spot on for Massdrop audience, positioning it above some of the much more expensive competitor offerings.
I’m honored to say that both companies are joining ranks once again to bring back the unparalleled fun sounding IEM with new Flat Impedance technology and revised sound.
FIBAE Massdrop Exclusive brings the best qualities from its predecessor and improve on the weaknesses. If you follow Custom Art, you know – we listen! We listened to 3-years worth of feedback to produce newer, more advanced and better sounding IEM. Major improvements has been applied to bass timbre – now with slightly bigger body more natural decay the bass sounds big and real. We decreased low frequencies quantity just a tiny bit too in order to avoid overpowering, but not enough to change their character altogther. With new dual woofer, bass is now all about sub-bass with powerful kick and big presence. Midrange handled by a single mid-woofer is thick and lush but also less recessed compared to previous model. The upper mids has been improved with proprietary Custom Art single driver known from FIBAE2. The most noticeable change however has been made in highs department which is now driven by dual-tweeter instead of single high frequency speaker. Finely tuned to provide excellent extension range in flat manner – without harshness or fatigue. We also took time to increase driver coherency and extend soundstage in all directions. The total of 6 drivers produce big and thick, natural sound offering pure fun and enjoyment without compromising clarity or extension. Finally dependence on sound source – extremely big factor for Ei.xx – has been solved with our Flat Impednace Balanced Armature Earphone technology.
Custom Art FIBAE Massdrop Exclusive IEM emerges as an effect of months of work and progress, using the latest tech available in order to bring the IEM with high-end value to community we love.

Just got the e-mail from Massdrop and picked myself up from the floor.
The Ei.XX are my first and only CIEM. I don't need others. Meanwhile I've listened to other IEM's but the Ei.XX is superb. Love it!
2016 was also the year I attended CanJam Europe and met @piotrus-g at his booth. When I pulled out my Ei.XX I got your attention hahaha. The prototype I was listening to, the 8.2 I believe?, was already really good. More air, cleaner in comparison with the Ei.XX
As I'm still a bit on a budget right now, will the drop come back later this year @piotrus-g ?
Anyway, this FIBAE sounds awesome by your description.

Nice!
Sounds a bit like a westone 3 on steroids with the mid bass "hump" cleaned up.
