You get a bit of more lows due to better isolation and fitting, but lower highs become a bit brighter.
Overall I would say that the custom is a bit warmer than universal.

I see. Props to adjusting the universal sound to better match the customs. Many CIEMs manufacturers don't do that.

For quite some time we have been working hard to perfect the process for transparent shell printing. Finally we arrived at an impeccable quality we are happy with and which gives us confidence to say these are the best looking 3D printed shells in the industry.

Just placed an order for my Campfire Audio Solaris Special Edition to ensure I can get the best fit possible. The FIBAE 7 look really intriguing though!

I did just that a while back and believe me you're going to rock custom tips with the Solaris (regular edition but...) :D

I think I will go for shot filled black metallic (acrylic); It wasn't easy deciding with the unique colour scheme of the SE Solaris :P

When I comeback to FIBAE3 from Noble Audio Katana I know, why I love F3, this opened sound awesome, especially in this album

And female vocals, violin sound amazing. Even though they don't have separation, quality, layers like Katana.

For the first month I listened to the custom Fibae 6 with EA Cleopatra + Cowon P1. This combo fits my fullness/bass preferences more than Fibae 7. Fibae 6 still retains enough clarity for a balanced overall listen.

Changed over to the EA Lionheart and felt a considerable loss of soundstage and bloated mushy bass in comparison to the above.

Finally, tried EA Ares 8-Wire with Silver/Gold Plussound adapter. Soundstage back in full effect with a hefty realness to vocals. Moved EQ preset from Maestro(Bassier) to more neutral setting BBE HP 2.

This setting gave me the best sound for Fibae 6 and most surprising is the physicality of the bass. I wasn't ready for the controlled deep impact that I could feel in my chest. This punch feels more defined than a Vegas/Atlas punch. If Fibae 6 were a body it projects itself with more muscle and definition.

While Fibae Black is more relaxed signature, Fibae 6 brings a holographic energy where I feel surrounded by the sound. Cowon players(with BBE) seem to bring out the best in my Fibae customs moreso than Sony(WM1A and ZX300) or Mojo.

Thanks for your impressions and suggestions for paring and EQing. I'm sure it will help a few people :) Happy listening!
