crinacle's IEM Ranking List

Seems like there’s a consensus between my local botique retailer and info around this forum. 10-20+ hours.

200+ hours is just excessive. I’ve heard sound “changing” at 500+ in some posts here...o.o;
10-20 hours is also, curiously, about how long it takes my brain to “warm” to a different sound signature :p

I am curious where the Fh7's fall on the list since they aren't on it. I see the FH5's as a B. Does that mean the FH7's would be a A? I went back a couple pages and didn't see any talk of the FH7's so don't roast me if it's already been discussed.

Had 2 blokes come in the shop today both intent on buying the Solaris. They auditioned both it, and the FH7. Both walked out with the Fiio. Kudos Fiio. Can't wait to see your over $1000 offering.
Interested in Crinacle's take. I think it competes with iems triple it's price.

Very cool - thanks for that. I am on the fence right now. I can't decide if I want to get like a Noble of Campfire used, or the FH7 new.

wish i had a local shop I could do that same thing!

Well, he did release a tentative rank on patreon but it is lower than fh5
Wow, that is interesting. Every other review I have seen say it's like a step up in most area's from the Fh5. Because really I would rather spend 200 less on the FH5.

To me, and pretty much every other review I've seen so far, the FH7 is way better than the 5. I've seen a couple of reviews indicating it's a more exciting listen than the Andromeda, and I agree with that.
But everyone hears differently, goes without saying.

They are two different IEMs. The model people prefer seems no so clear-cut over on the FiiO threads.. although there is still immense new-toy bias :D

Those people who are saying 500+ hours sound different should just stick with an old used peripherals...

I wonder if there might be a lucrative business model for selling ‘premium burned-in’ in gear ..

It would have to be burned-in just right, with all the semi-meaningless jargon, related technical-looking pictures, and a transferable certificate of authenticity!

Imagine the extra money potential for up selling to genre-specific burn-ins!

1000 hours of Hotel California at 85 dB. Hell Freezes Over version costs extra.

I let my casual friend demo my Andromedas, EX1000, Moondrop A8 and Orions with my M0 and his playlist and he thought the Andromedas were “next level” & “feels like speakers” haha.

I've been spending a fortune on mid tier stuff for years, other than my sp1000. I'm thinking of having a quick spend on top tier and buying nothing else for long time. I'm considering either a lotoo paw gold touch or Cayin n8. But I want some top end stuff to partner it. I like literally most genres of music and would like a universal fit. What would you recommend?
