This is strictly a preference. Folks like myself that are extremely treble sensitive might find the EJ sounds more natural than rolled off. Just saying.
I'm curious for @crinacle to measure and provide impressions of Bose QC earbuds. I was taken back with it's imaging (large sound stage) and bass for a TWS. I didn't expect bass like it from any TWS.
If it measures like crap, I will ignore the measurements. lol But, I suspect measurement would show good tonality. Just look at these Bose TWS from the past, and I expect on the similar tuning with the QC.
I wonder why the Shuoer EJ07 is not in the ranking list? It has nearly the same soundsignature as the ER4XR, but with more subbass. And it is technically much better. The EJ07 should as good as the Thieaudio Monarch or Clairvoyance. Which ranking could it have, what do you think?
As others stated, frequency response is only telling part of the story, and moving up the price range of IEMs I find technicality differences which don't show in the FR graph to play a much bigger role. IMO that makes it quite hard to make buying decision in the range $700 up if you can't listen to the IEM.

ye well folks can prefer alot of odd tonalities but it doesnt mean its gonna be ranked high if it doesnt sound correct and has alot of information missing uptop. You can make treble extended and smooth if its done right, but to cut it off is another story.
Bose QC 35 II described as V-Shape? I have them and they are very far from being V-Shape, bass is almost non-existent compared to say galaxy buds, also treble doesn't even have sparkle, how could they be V-Shape?
