Which is exactly why price and cosmetics are never good indicators of sound quality..

I have heard both.. the MH755 will win by a significant margin.. they are not the best of the best in many technical aspects but the MH755 are also hard to fault.. so as I said, just not the best of the best, for example when talking about imaging and resolution, the qdc VX will be many levels above the MH755.. or when talking about staging, sony's own Z1R will be much larger in all directions than the MH755.. but the MH755 on their own are excellent iems nevertheless..

The CFA Vega on the other hand, are also not bad.. quite fun to listen to, lots of bass, which sometimes bleeds into the midrange, and clouds the clarity of the upper frequencies.. still if someone bought a pair of iems for a thousand bucks, that person has to somehow convince him/herself that it is a good buy, right?

FYI, my reference iems are the PP8

:dt880smile::dt880smile: i happen to own this sony mh755 by chance. It was included with when i bought my SBH54. I only needed the bt dongle so i never use the earphones themselves for over a year. Never thought it to be such highly regarded in this forum. So funny...

hi crinacle,

i agree with you the sony ier z1r belongs in S. however, i think the shure kse1200 should be removed. i bought it and returned it. really wanted to keep it but couldnt. it was completely out of tune. felt like driving a ferrari with 3 wheels.

also i know youre going by technicalities as well as enjoyment. however only enjoyment matters to me so i would put the u12t down to S- or even possibly A+. then i would put the ue 18+ pro 2nd gen back up to S tier.

What a beatiful earpphone is 64 audio U12t. I'm comparing it with LCDi4 without cypher as i don't owne Iphone or ipad and the differencs in voice and bass are qite evident. better on U12t for sure.
yeah try the lcdi4 with cipher or if you have android with 10 band eq, lemme know i'll let you know the right eq settings.
