  Recommendations for 128gb MicroSD please?
I don't want to pay too much if I can help it.

Thanks

I'd recommend Sandisk, never had a bad one from them.

I have a Kingston card in mine. I don't know where you're located, but 128GB cards are getting relatively cheap these days.

SanDisk and Samsung cards are about $40

Then there are PNY, Patriot, Silicone Power for about $30

Are the cheaper ones going to be OK though?

I'm in Stoke on Trent, England

PNY and Patriot may not have the same reputation as SanDisk or Samsung, but they are still known for their flash memory products (flash cards, USB flash drives, etc.). To me they're fine, but some may want to stick with the more reputable brands.

But then there are ones like these that I would stay away from :p

This site has got a good reputation.
Do you think their own brand should be OK for the Plenue D?

I'd rather go with this one:

Even though I've never heard of the brand, the card has a ton of good reviews on Amazon UK.

Sandisk it is then but which one?

What is am using and works perfect;

SanDisk Ultra 128GB microSDXC UHS-I Card with Adapter, Black, Standard Packaging (SDSQUNC-128G-GN6MA)

http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-microSDXC-Standard-Packaging-SDSQUNC-128G-GN6MA/dp/B010Q57S62?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00

Format it correctly and with the correct allocation size also.

This one is exactly the same then - https://mobymemory.com/uk/sandisk-ultra-128gb-microsdxc-80mb-s-533x-uhs-i-class-10-memory-card.html

Is the allocation size in the instructions for the Plenue?

They state it in the manual:

They state:

For proper file transfer speeds, the PLENUE D’s internal storage
and any external microSD cards (32GB or less) must be
formatted as an FAT32 file system with an allocation unit size of
32KB using Windows 7 or later.

or:

Large-capacity microSD cards (64GB or more) must be formatted using an FAT32 formatting tool
(e.g. guiformat) to be properly recognized. (32KB allocation unit size is recommended.)

I did: FAT32 file system with an allocation unit size of 4096 size allocation - that's what your average hard drive does and it's the best balance of speed and power usage based on the files on players.

Thanks everybody.

The Plenue D was ordered about 2 hours ago and I was going to click 'BUY' when a popup came up giving me a 10% discount - thanks Advanced MP3 Players.
The Sandisk is ordered and hopefully it will sound superb through my Fidue A83's.

I've been virtually deaf for most of my 58 years and it wasn't because I've stood on stage in front of rock bands since 1970.
Last December I had an operation called a Stapedectomy and now I have excellent hearing.
The last few months I've been using my Fidue's with a DAC in my PC and I've heard music properly for the first time, I've actually had tears rolling down my cheeks.

Congratulation on your recovery/discovery! We sometime take for granted our hearing to the point that we abuse them with obscene volumes of rubbish. Your post remind me of how blessed I am. Thank you.

Guys, is there a comparo between this gorgeous player and other machines? It looks nice, but I would like to know how it stacks against Fiio and Colorfly for example.

Much better than either of those.
