Looks like a new Hi Fi Dap from Cowon is about to drop soon and one thing is for certain, the battery life should be beastly. 100hrs (MP3) / 51hrs (24bit, 96kHz, FLAC)

seems this might be interesting DAP. Unfortunately seems to have one card slot only?
    Let's wait for further specs.
P.S.: Maybe can change thread title to "Cowon Plenue D"?

    UI is def non Android,

Multi Favorites confirmed (possibly even of renaming playlists/favorites created [IMG]

    Gapless confirmed.

Available silver and black or gold and black.

    Weighs 94g

Just LDB and LRC supported (at this time, perhaps firmware will provide more in future updates).

Unfortunately it looks like the database is still capped (looking at the Korean Manual), it's hard to say but it looks like 8,000 max internal, 16,000 external, or therabouts.

EDIT: Judging from those specs I would expect a sub $500USD price point. My money is around $399USD. It's really a posh mans M2.

I was told by email that it will sound even better than the P1.

At 32GB internal and just one card slot I believe I could live with that!

Apparently it will one out on December 2 and cost around 260$. They promise 100 hours of playback on mp3.

I doubt this is better than P1, just look at the SNR and the crosstalk. Maybe this is the budget plenue.

But the battery life sure tempting. Might sell my Plenue M for this.
