Comfortable closed can recommendations

I went to a local audio store last night and tried a few cans on.  I think I have it narrowed (ha!) down to these three:

BT 770 Pro
AKG K271 MKII
Shure SRH840

All three of them were quite comfy, and seemed to do a good job of isolation.  I can't decide on which one I think sounds better though.  I know that brand new phones will change sound signatures over time.

My impressions in the store where that both the AKG and BT's had very similar tonal qualities.  I think the BT's had more bass through.  The Shures seemed to have sharper med's and high's.

I think I'm going to try and stick to the 250 ohm versions (where it's an option) and drive them with the fiiO e7.

Does anyone have any advice on those three phones?

Also just as a curiosity, does anyone know what ohm levels a new macbook pro can drive?

Thanks,

Do you mean DT 770 pro?  I compared these three headphones once and preferred SRH840 by a mile.

^ Should?  Have you actually heard any of these headphones?

The fiio e7 does not have enough power to drive the DT770 250ohm. The DT770 needs 100mW of power while the e7 only provides 18mW. I recommend trying the Beyerdynamic DT250. Much more balanced sound than all the headphones anyone has mentioned and also comfy and easy to power.

No. I want to hear shure headphone though. I never heard dt 770 before. but to my impression. 770 is like a high end headphone like 990 and 880 these line of products. then next tier is T1 .

i'd say get an m50 . all 3 headphone has lower sq than m50.

Not true. Each can has their unique sonic signature. Just because someone likes one doesn't mean the others are inferior. I would say that SQ wise all 3 are around the same level, with the 840s being perhaps a tad higher.

I own the DT770s and heard the SRH840s before. If you're running the cans from your macbook without a dedicated amplifier I would strongly suggest you get either the 32ohm or 80ohm 770 and not the 250s. They wouldn't be driven properly.

The 770s are bass heavy. The SRH840s are rather neutral. Never heard the 240s before but I own the 701s and they're great (big diff between the 2 though)
