hi, please suggest a cheap portable transport for Hugo with optical and/or digital coaxial out. how is fiio x3 ? it has digital coaxial out. my main use of Hugo is full system and portable use will be occasional therefore don't want to spend much on portable transport. android device works with USB only and I want to avoid USB for portable use due to the fear of damaging the USB input of Hugo.

X3 works fine with coax out the the Hugo.  I actually prefer the sound of the Hugo's coax input to the others (USB, optical).  It has a warmer, fuller sound to me.

Its 23.5cm x 22.5cm x 4.5cm. Its pretty heavy too.

I read today that the Bluetooth in the TT is better than the one on the Hugo at bigger distances ... that's good but the price of the TT puts it into QBD76 range. 
 
I also have to say the old Choral rack was MUUUUCH better looking than the current one. The current one clashes in style with the components and is generally ugly.

I use JRiver Media Center.  Can configure it to output DSD as DOP.  Very easy to do.

that is OK for PC or Mac but some software create a dop flac of dsf which you can play in portable players just like any flac. i remember there is a free utility for Mac but not for PC. anybody knowing for PC ?

Shure 846 is sweet iem with the chord, especially with enhanced cable. I'll let you know concerning th900 with new cable next week.

I have a question concerning chord TT, the hugo output is about 700 milli watts corect? What's the TT, I have googled it's specs but watt output is never given. This could be key to heavy watt demand cans like lcd3 or he6. Cause frankly folks, the hugo has made me a chord addict, groupie, slave. What ever wallet draining metaphore serves best. Truly impressed and give many thanks in britans direction. Wiser golf clap in background.
