I can't find the thread were Rob watts said he likes the audioquest nighthawk carbon headphones,was it this thread ?I've been reading about them and I'm thinking they might be my next purchase,the rubber surround interests me no end,like a mini speaker,if a speaker doesn't have rubber surround can it produce true deep bass?Worried they might be too dark for me as the flare pro are proper in my face,they like a jet engine blowing my head off so thinking the nighthawk would be a nice contrast,silky smooth

Still a work in progress (firmware and awaiting the app). I am sure there will be learnings from the Poly challenges to sort through as to not repeat or overtax the Chord resources.

Yes, it will be best for all concerned, for chord to capture the Lessons Learnt from the Poly, and use them as an input for the remaining development of the 2Go.
I am quite happy for chord not to rush things, and that way make sure that the 2Go works perfectly from day 1.
I don't want to experience the same pain that some of the Poly owners, have gone through.

If I were to attempt to be humourous, I'd say that a balanced jack isn't needed because it's a SE circuit. But, to be serious: Rob himself stated that balanced amps aren't needed or desired. I think it's the dificulty of symetry or extra distortion from extra amp circuitry-I'm really not sure. Maybe @rob might elucidate?

Aside from that, the Pentaconn plug/jack is designed so that it can be used in either a single-ended or balanced device. It replaces the confusion of jacks we have, some of which, like the 2.5mm, are very poor.

Maybe you should get someone else to make the cable for you. They clearly have no idea how a digital cable works. A digital cable is not mono or stereo in the way an analog cable is. It just transmits a digital signal using one cable. The signal is mono or stereo depending on the data contained in the digital signal.
Anyway, why not just use an off the shelf cable?
