Amazon has just boosted the price of the Akai x50 from $19 to $99. Not quite the bargain anymore.

In addition, what would be a chifi sidegrade from the Grado SR60e?

After months of being sold out, a few hours ago the TakstarAudio store at Aliexpress listed Takstar Pro 82 as back in stock:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Ori...g-K-song-game-stereo-headset/32808454492.html
I have chatted with the store, and they assured me they they really have stock. Other stores often list Pro 82 just to draw attention, but they don't really have any stock.
They have 30, 2 are already gone.
It's unclear if/when they'll have more.

If you are looking for a headphone that can throw punches with Fostex TH-900MK2 (and even beat it sometimes), here is your chance.

Here is my updated comparison with TH-900Mk2:
Comparison with Fostex TH-900MK2

Here are other comparisons:
Comparison with CAL!
Comparison with Bosshifi B8
Comparison with ISK HP2011
Comparison with NVX XPT100/Brainwavz HM5/Yoga CD-990
Comparison with B&O H6
Comparison with Philips X2 (by OscarPaz)

Nice. I hope to one day hear the Pro 82.

Hopefully, it's better than the Pro 80, which I really didn't like (although it was in the form of the Hyper X Cloud gaming headset, which is supposed to be the same).

1) Hyper X Cloud sounds different from Pro 80
2) Pro 82 is in a whole different league compared to Pro 80

they DID! Well well well, looks like Ole' Cruelhand is a savvy investor! I bought them at $18.00...now I need to find a sucker to by them for HALF OFF at $50.00....mwahahaha!

Yeah but just think how awesome it's going to feel on Black Friday when it goes on sale for 70% off!

Has anyone tried the Bosshifi B7? How's the comfort and sound of these? Looking for an open backed headphone in that price range and the gorgeous wooden cups are tempting me
1) The SQ is mediocre
2) Don't expect mahogany cups - you'll get walnut, just like everyone else.

Welp. Any suggestions for open back in this price range then?

A couple people who post regularly here have (or had) the Lasmex L-85, which are open back & cost a bit less than the Bosshifi B7:
https://www.amazon.com/LASMEX-Profe...13240&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=lasmex+L-85&psc=1

There were some pretty positive comments about these HPs here in recent weeks/months. But if you look online (or elsewhere on Head-Fi), you'll find mixed comments, some good and some bad.

I've been interested in these, but stopped short because it's pretty unlikely I'll better my only open-back HPs (Fidelio X2s); also because I just bought a different HP (used).
