Nah.. The unit is working fine.. Just that the screen protector cannot stick properly..
Ooo, I never thought about screen protectors nor cases.

When I got it, it came with a darkish screen protector. I thought its just for protecting when its in the box. I threw it into the trash. It looked dark not transparent.

Checking my tracking info...should have this beauty in my hands by tomorrow or Monday. There's a little voice in my head tempting me to check out the DX200...I went with the Cayin because on the whole it sounds like a better product (and I prefer a touch of warmth). Is there anyone out there whose heard both who can compare? Also is there a pretty good chance (as far as anyone knows) that one of the future modules released for this thing will be powered by tubes?

Not the only similarity!

No mate, I only really see the DAC and amp section as different, and the extra gig of ram. I have them running side by side all the same software and PEQ settings, almost identical. N6ii does sound a little better, as it should.
That's with Neutron, UAPP and Hiby Music.

Same SOC, same OS, same Hiby software, same kernel version, same boot up speed and operation speed. I did install the cayin music app on the hiby r6pro but it didn't load fully, i didnt persue as its just a reskinned hibymusic but without MSEB which is bizarre when they include Hiby Music with MSEB as standard too.

Copied from the Solaris thread:

Too soon for detailed impressions but off the bat I'm very happy and suspect I may have found the perfect dap for my needs and preferences. Sound is rich, powerful and satisfying...the Solaris responds very well to extra power. Extension, details, imagery and separation are all enhanced. Looking forward to more time with this beautiful combination.

Yes, we indeed to develop several Audio Motherboard, not use on alternative option to A01, however i am not sure if "years" is an accurate description. What happen if we complete all our Audio Motherboard plan within one year?

New chips are coming out all the time though, even if boards will be finished within one year there will still be ESS9048/58/68 - AKM4500 etc. The digital to analog market is progressing fast and people want the latest technology.

@Andykong any update on the screen protector?

We just finished evaluating Hydrogel screen protector and will start the procurement process, this will take a while because changing to hydrogel will involve buying new installation machine and develop new mold. When everything is ready, we'll provide extra Hydrogel screen protector to our dealers so that existing customers can collect the new screen protector for free (well, postage required).
