I know my D5000 fit perfectly in the LCD-2 case.  I don't have them with me but the interior dimension of the 1200 is only 4.XX inches, not sure if that is enough for the D2000.

OK thanks again for all the advice guys, much appreciated - there are very few places on the web (especially forums) where people are so helpful. Normally its just people bragging or putting down someone elses opinion. Note the D2000s arrived today and i love them (note the updated avatar pic), currently listening to The Beatles - Here Comes the Sun and Arcade Fire - Wake Up! Win!

I have the 1300 and it fits perfectly. The 1200 might be a tad too small. The small difference in money is worth it. And if your ever on a boat, it floats and is 100% waterproof.

1300 is perfect.  1200 is too small, 1400 is oversized.

It comes with pick and pluck up to the top, There are 2 2" or so sections and then a final non pick and pluck section at the bottom.  The one section I removed to show you the inside dimensions except for height (there is another full pick and pluck below them at this point so don't worry about the height).  I used my DT770-250 but they are the same size and both closed cans.

Worked out well with the 1300 case!

It looks great, but it really seems excessively large for these headphones. Is the 1200 not deep enough? I want to protect them, but i'd like to fit the entire case in a backpack with a few other things, since I have to fly a lot and don't want to leave my headphones at home

heh, that's part of the problem, i'm out of town at an internship right now and don't have a decent measuring device for the cans. I'll have my calipers when i'm back at school, but i don't have much here.

Basically i want the case to be as little bulk as necessary, but i know a lot of people here are going for sheer protection no matter what, and I understand that entirely
