Also pure silver works a treat with Solaris as well...atleast to my ears bass definition has become better and slight improvements to already great details and clarity of the SE. Using EA Thor silver II+... but I guess any good silver cable should have a similar effect.

I did some cable rolling as well with my Solaris OG. I got the best results with my beloved Gala Audio Solar Eclpise cable (Copper + Gold plated silver with 99.57% pure silver 4.4mm plug.)

The Solar Eclipse performs much better than the ALO Ref8 and a lot of other cables. Tomorrow i will receive my FiiO LC-RE. I'm excited how this one will pairs with the Solaris OG...

What changes did you see with the Solar Eclipse cable?
And do let us know your impressions of the LC-RE with Solaris; that's a combination I'm quite curious about! :)
Mind you, I've got Solaris 2020 rather than original, but I'm guessing the commonalities heavily outweigh the differences!

Nice! Another one that liked Gold hybrid cables with Solaris.

Compared to the ALO Ref8 the Gala Audio was much richer and fuller in sound without loosing (treble) detail. Especially the mids got a creamy and full sound. Sometimes the treble was a little bit to sparkly for me and the Solar Eclipse brings the right amount of smoothness to it.

With the Ref8 i also had the feeling that something is missing between the instruments and vocals. With the Solar Eclipse it is just perfect for me.

I have the DHC Clone Silver and it is similar in it improved the bass definition, smoothed out the highs and improved the soundstage.

Do you get money for name this cable in every post you do ? :D
I wish.

But I do love this cable as it was a game changer for me.

I'm currently using lc-re. Prior to this cable I had budget ($30-$50) copper/spc cables. I really love the lc-re with my Solaris. Love being able to go 4.4mm from my zx507, to 2.5mm on my btr5 with my phone in no time at all. Looking forward to the impressions of someone who has more experience with aftermarket cables

I hope i will receive it today and i will post my impressions with the Solaris.

I've had the cable a few month ago (with the FiiO FA9) and i liked it a lot. Very nice look and feel.

I've had some listening with the Solaris and the FiiO LC-RE today. Paired with the Solaris the LC-RE can't really compete with the Solar Eclipse.

The LC-RE is too smooth for my taste or at least with my DAP. It lacks in dynamic and punch and sound a bit flat compared to the ALO and the Gala Audio.

I think for very bright IEMs (maybe full BA sets) it is a very nice cable but i don't like it with the Solaris so far.

Is it disclosed how the Solaris distributes the frequencies across the 4 drivers?

Somewhere yeah. I know the DD does the lows and the mids driver(s) run full range...which helps with coherence but also explains why some detect "BA ness" in the bass.
