Hmm it’s so strange how everyone perceives things differently.

Tell me about it. I found the SE to have cleaner and more impactful bass.

Just when I thought I was done stacking...got a couple small pieces of velcro with a mild adhesive and made a little stack with this wonderful new device that's come into my life-- the Lotoo PAW S1...utterly sublime with Solaris.

Dude, try the Lotoo PAW 6000...... sorry, not sorry!

Just got mine Xelastec from Amazon as well, took 2 days. I have only used foam tips for the past ten years since UE TF10 days and never thought more of it.

After couple hours of listen on my SE, different layers of the music seems to be better separated and smaller detail is better defined. Bass is just as punchy as before. In comparison, it’s like the foam tips are dampening the sound a bit. Subtle difference but does improve the over all enjoyment.

Does this sounds like changes that can bring by different tips or am I imagining things because I’m looking for changes?

No your aren't imagining things, tip material will effect the sound. Welcome to the world of tip rolling.

Definitely real. Foam in general increases bass, but definitely mutes treble response, as it dissipates through the open pored foam. JVC Spiral dots are silicone tips with a wide bore like the Xelastec. More solid typical silicone. Accentuates the treble like due to the wife bore. Final audio E silicone tips have a narrow bore, which filters out some of the treble so they have a warmer sound. Increase the low end over the Xelastec a little, but at the expense of more open mid and detailed treble. Fit and function I choose Xelastec. I'll use final e occasionally if I'm in a heavy bass mood, but Xelastec still has a solid low end. Hope this helps

lol that typo

i always have good luck with sony hybrids, comfort, stay in ear, and great sound, but periodic audio hydrogen are best for me since wide bore and great proportions

How do Xelastec eartips size compare to the Final Type-E? with the Finals I prefer the M tips, should I get M for Xelastecs too?

Ok

a bit spammy - but people are asking for the information.

i bought my first pack at Fujiya Avic and then ordered two more packs (MS/M/ML and SS/S/M) off amazon japan
They seem to come in a two pack

or a three pack of various sizes.

say for the Andromeda i usually use a Yellow ML/ Blue tip L - right and left ear

for Xelastec i am using a MS/M

you will note above the Xelastec and Spiral Dots++ dont correspond exactly in size.

You may have to go down a size than normal

i recommend trying one of the sample packs first for experimenting with size (See the options on the amazon link)

* also check out Aurisonics and Fender SureSeal tips
