Understood, thanks!what @Lookout57 said.
And also that isnt the stock cable. It is the SXC-8 which is considerably heavier. I found the Andromeda to sit better with no memory wire.
For the stock Litz I still have the memory wire with no issues.

Getting annoyed by light scratches on my Andro S's. Do we think using metal polish would work/be advisable?
If by metal polish you mean oil moistened microabrasive cloths, then it should be effective at removing any scratches (the stainless steel used for the case appears to be quite soft), but I decided against it in my case because:
- I'm sure all the crud generated by the polishing action will be stuck between the screws and the case
- Oil will probably enter the interior of the earphone (maybe it's properly sealed, maybe not) or at least the MMCX connector
- The screws (while a lot harder than the shell) will probably be polished a bit too, losing that very crisp look.
My advice would be to give it an extra month or two and see if you're still itching to do it then.

Hi, I'm still unsure on them! They're an improvement on previous headphones I've had (most recently the DM6, which they beat in terms of clarity) but not THAT much of an improvement, considering the cost. They're best with rock music I think. When listening to music from other genres (e.g the DJ Python album) I find myself wishing they were a little juicier. Make sure you demo them before you buy!Hi, I'm planning on picking up the Andros SS Saturday from Audio46, how do you like them?

Haven't heard the Solaris yet. They're still burning in at my dealer, but I've had the Andro S for a couple of months now and I'm very happy with them.
I think my listening style is more detail/air oriented as opposed to bass/body, even though (or maybe exactly because) I listen to a lot of metal/rock type music. Guitars sound amazing on the S (even better than the Andro Green imo), bass guitar, cymbals and drums as well. Soundstage is also pretty good, but with a bit more center focus than the Green. Vocals are powerful too.
The only place when I feel they could be better is the impact on the lower end. On its own I think it's very good and I'm happy with it, but after listening to the RHA CL2 I can see some room for improvement there. I don't feel 100% confident saying this, but recently I've started to feel like they sound just a tiny bit "weird" when it comes to bass. It's hard to explain and it might just be the recordings themselves (I was trying some new stuff recently, like Rory Gallagher's BBC sessions). With my "usual" metal tracks they sound fine.
As with any other headphone, trying them out yourself is ideal, but pay attention to source Zout if you do. Anyway, hope this helped.

How did people find female vocals compared between the Green and S?

Keep going back and forth between silicon and foam tips, use silicon on my other iem's but they sound more reedy used on the andro's. Foam help give more body and give better control (tame) to the high end.
These are very clear sounding in general though, bit harder to get a good seal but once achieved instruments are well separated and there is a good sense of dynamism, I understand when people describe them as airy - like there's nothing impeding the sound and I'm hearing it with great detail and clarity. When I change to another iem they sound darker and more veiled, they have more bass impact but it takes me a while to adjust back to them, if only I could mix W60's with these that would truly be something

Shh lolI'm still burning in the Solaris to decide whether it fits my music taste or not. I'm thinking of going back to the Andro but I'm kind of interested in the differences between Green and S, some people saying S is improvement over green in every aspect others saying S loses some of the sparkle in the treble (that sparkle in the female vocals being what's making the Solaris less enjoyable for me)
I gave my Green away to a friend, so I can't A/B anymore, but I feel quite confident saying that there's barely any difference in the trebble (sure, it has more upper mids to contend with, so it doesn't appear as prominent, but I don't think there's any less of it around).
I wouldn't say the S is an improvement over the Green. It's a different take on the same idea. For me personally however, it is an improvement because of the fuller guitars and vocals, so if the main point you're looking to improve on or emphasize on the Andro Green is the vocal representation, then there's a good chance that the S might be the phone for you.

Did you feel that the S lost the Green's sparkle? I found that with the Green it felt like the singer was right next to you because of the clarity and how forward they are but with the Solaris I'm finding that they're more recessed and generally get lost between the improved bass and high range
If I wasn't so lazy I'd just drive to the store and test them...! But its a 3 hour drive each way with UK business motorway...

Crinacle has measured the Solaris and there's a massive dip between 2-6k - that might be the recess you're hearing.Did you feel that the S lost the Green's sparkle? Yeah I saw that earlier today but I testing the Solaris further to see if burn in improves it since Crinacle hasn't had time to burn his in yet. I'm also slightly concerned about being biased now that I've seen the chart lolCrinacle has measured the Solaris and there's a massive dip between 2-6k - that might be the recess you're hearing.

It's tough for me to know what exactly you are referring to when you talk about sparkle. In my case, after quite a bit of A/B testing, the S ended up being the more complete/natural/even sounding headphone. By comparison, I thought that on the Green the vocals were quieter and I heard them coming from further back on the imaginary stage. With the S they were closer and louder, perhaps a bit too close/loud, but overall this painted a more natural picture to me than the Green. And I loved the Green (still do actually). In fact, the S got me excited because of its look & build, and at the time I was hoping that the sound changes would be negligible.Did you feel that the S lost the Green's sparkle? If this is such a critical point for you, perhaps you really should try them out for yourself.
