The es100 does look really good. But is it really using microUSB? Maybe if they release an updated one with USB C, I'll grab it—petty, I know, but my laptop/switch/portable hdd/phone/battery pack are all USB C; I'm not going to buy anything using another type of connection at this point.

Other than that, it seems like a good deal—it's not really much more expensive than various MMCX wireless solutions, and has more than sufficient specs to crush all of them. Everything else really does look great.

unfortunately it is still using microusb, been using it with balanced with the DM6, with ldac, it sounds really good

This photo is for reference to show cable. The next cable I get for the DM6 will be the Han Sound Audio Zen 4 wire OCC litz copper cable terminated Furutech 4.4mm. This cable in the photo is two pin so I can't use it with the DM6, but the cable is quality and has a great sound with BA IEMs.

AliExpress has a few but not sure if they are any good.

I don’t have a balanced output device as yet so this way I can adapt the cable for both purposes.

reading this; is there something that this Elias fellow is getting wrong or missing? seems to make sense to me, and doubly so in the case of a low-impedance, high-sensitivity device like the DM6.

Just received the nicehck 16 core copper cable. The balanced version. It's really well made, very flexible, looks nice and is more comfortable without the pre-formed earhooks.
If only i had my dm6's allready... Won't be here till march. Using the cable on magaosi k5 (the nicehck version) atm. No huge difference.

Thanks for your input guys on 3.5mm to 2.5mm balanced.

I’m leaning towards right angle or straight plug adapter for increased robustness and to minimise any impact from cable differences.

What @cobrabucket suggested might be it.

I think hakuzen rec'd this cable, not sure..
I bought two pieces of the 2.5mm to 3.5mm, one was wired OUT OF PHASE, so be aware.. Also they can not be desoldered and fixed, coz the solderjob is protected by some cement..
