Is BGVP solve quality control issues after DM6? Should i trust and and pull the trigger for DM8?
I am curious about this before I purchased the VG4. But when I got them, I need to said their build quality is top level.
But for more safe choice you may go with the resin DM8 instead of the wood one, because the wood is easy to crack, if it doesn't store in right condition.

I suppose it's "stabilized" wood
i. e. wood imbued with resin
There are not really "stabilized woods". I think the wood cap is made with pine wood, and using the hot pressed method for compression. Which is durable but will still crack if to humidity is too dry or wet.

Full wood shells are becoming increasingly available. So far, I haven‘t read about anyone‘s shells cracking, though they haven’t been around for a long time yet, AFAIK.

DM8 is reviewed at a review website other than here. They say smooth, lifelike, strong cabled, sibilance free, scales well with amp.
Thanks for sharing!
I placed my order for the DM8 on 31-10 and it still hasn't been shipped.

Ofcourse i'll still have an extended listening session with them as well, once i received them! And share my impressions while at it

Can't wait!

I picked these from that websit

Seems like they are tuned more neutral!
I already have plenty of monitoring style IEMs, so i was hoping the DM8 to be more bassy!

Has anyone had the opportunity to compare DM8 clear/metal vs DM8 wood to give an opinion on whether the claims of wood sounding more natural is true and if so, is there much in it?
Also, if anyone has Audiosense T800 to compare that would be superb

PSA: for folks who own the DN2, BGVP is recalling/refunding the DN2. Some brave soul on Facebook went to open the shell of the DN2 and realized it wasn't beryllium coated/plated as advertised: https://www.facebook.com/groups/audioreviews/permalink/4831960826844190/

My only BGVP so far is the DMG OEM NiceHCK M6, it is quite nice once u put a 3rd party filter to tame the midbass. Well it is good to see that BGVP are taking action on these issues:
