I'm assuming "pretty much" excludes the P-51 Mustang and iQube?

Definitely excludes them. I don't have any expectation that either will swing enough voltage to make the T1 sound good.

I don't have the RPX300 but I have the RP010B. I am planning to make comparison between SE and balanced with the same amplifier this weekend but I can tell you that in balanced mode the RP010B has more than enought powr to drive them. I normally have the volume knob bewteen 9:00 and 10:00 for a nice level volume also I notice better soundstage and more control sound. That was compared to SE driven by the RPX-33. In the RPX-33 the volume knob is about 11:00 to reach the same level.

Another vote for the PS1000 regarding rock and metal. I just don't understand recommending the RS1 against them. The RS1 are colored and pretty flat sounding. It's not even the GS1000 league, no matter how much of the midrange is in each model. The GS1000 is better for metal than the RS1, too. The problem is that bigger Grado's need another type of amplifier than bowl pad models to show their best. But when it happens, the PS1000 is the best headphone to play back the on-stage guitar amplifier sound. The resolution of the whole distortion spectrum is shown the best way on them. The RS1 replace what they cannot do with things they do all the time making their midrange rich. Sure, it's not all like that but I'm showing the idea about what I hear.

I love the way Grados sound - I just can't stand actually wearing them

I sold my GS1000's for that reason alone.

I also had issues with that scratchy GS1K foam touching the sensitive areas of ears and head. Consequently, I partly covered the inner section of the pads with super soft cotton textile - comparison to my buddy's unaltered pads showed no changes in sound.

I don't know about the GS1000 but having tried the PS1000 I was also negatively surprised and disappointed with its comfort. I just don't understand how Grado can sell such expensive cans with such an awful comfort. They are heavy, do not fit well with head shape, the head band is not comfy at all, and so does the flabby foam earcups. Plus even if it is detail and personal taste, I do not like the earcups turning automatically towards ground.
Pity as they sound pretty good otherwise.

At first I hate wearing 325i, pain in the a**head but now I got used to it and I have to admit I love them and prefer them over hd650 for comfort. I love listening chamber stuff with 325i, any type of acoustic music with vocals sound so perfect

I thought this was a T1 thread not a Grado thread....... Let's re-focus.

How's this: for the price (60% less) the T1s are not only better headphones IMHO over the PS1000 technically, the price to performance ratio is even wider!

But again, just my two cents, listening with my two ears.

Which tube amplifier between 1000 and 2500 dollars would you recommend me for the T1? I listen to a wide range of music, like progressive rock to blues. I would like to have a warm and detailed sound with big soundstage. I have read a lot about Wa22, Wa6, Decware CSP2 and Zana Deux. What do you think?

I would go for a WA5LE stock + upgrade the tubes later (my dream amp), WA22 (if you need balanced), WA6SE maxxed if possible (if you need SE output)
Zana Deux also is a very good match, but WA6SE which is a lot cheaper, had the same performance, very little sonic differencies between them.
Don't know nothing about Decware.
