Yes, IMHO T90 will work for Jazz & EDM both, but HD 650 will not work with EDM. T90's are more neutral & do not have the Mid-range lushness of HD 650. Some people prefer that lushness for Jazz.

Thanks for clarifying that. I really wish/hope I can test the T90 first, but there are some available now for around $400. Is it worth grabbing them at that price or is that price fairly normal/stable? (I'll be in the U.S. in June so I can't test until then unless I buy blind)
I would recommend wait for a month & test both when you are in the U.S. Also see if you can try HE-500 ,these are also good for the kind of music you listen to.

A V-shaped signature isn't neutral. That's why jazz sounds much less unnatural on 650.

Hm... Music sounded less coloured to me on the T90 than on HD650, hence to me they were more neutral than HD650.

hd600. hd700 if I find some kind of super deal.
For some reason the T90 hurts my neck. I dunno if it's a blood flow problem or a drainage problem or they sit on my jaw wrong or What the issue is, but down the sides of my neck feels very uncomfortable, irritated.
I absolutely love the T90 sound tho. If I weren't having a problem I would never sell them.

I have a Meridian Explorer. It can drive HD650 without any problems. Do you think it can drive T90? Despite its small size, it has a very powerful amplifier.
I want a neutral but musical sound. I don't want harsh treble, that's why I sold my AKG Q701s. I like EDM, alternative rock, electronic, jazz and sometimes classical. Sometimes pop maybe... So in short all genres. Would you recommend T90? I already have Sennheiser Momentums and want a different sound (more neutral but certainly not harsh like Q701s). I fear if I bought HD 650s, they'd just be like Momentums' father, not that different.

Equipment can be smooth-sounding and yet make T90 harsh. It's about how well the amp controls T90.
