Absolutely agree, the 880s are a true bargain in audio and the Highflyin9 recable is a ridiculous value. My recabled set of the 880s are bested only by the HP-1000 (which is at least 2x as much $) for dynamic headphones IME. I also think the existing 880s look better than the new ones coming out (somewhat less cute and more purposeful), but I can be swayed if the new ones end up sounding better.

DT880 my staple everyday headphone....ohh the clarity! This one is a keeper. When neeeding the bass fix, I switch on the bass boost: DT770

The old version does it for me, understated and looks the business. Both will be kept in the vault.....under valued & under appreciated and thank g-d for that (for my wallet's sake).

I have the DT 770/80 and the DT 880, the far far better looking silver version and not the nasty plastic 2005 one

For commuting to and from work, I'm looking to buy a DT231 to replace my very battered Senn 497.
