My DT1770 Pro’s arrived this afternoon. I am burning them in with Hans Zimmer movie soundtracks. I will waitfor delivery of the Foam Inserts arriving in a few days before listening.

Yes. And, removing the pads is easy, snap off the outer plastic ring WITH the pads attached, instead of peeling off the pads from the ring. Saves you a ton of frustration and time.

When you buy replacement pads from Beyer, they actually comes attached with this ring.

Beyer has new inner foam liners that reduce treble peak. First introduced on the Tygr 300 R. Part number 934208

You are a Top person. 100percent right. After fitting these Foam Discs and about 12hours run time at night. I listened to them today and they are not sibilant at all. THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

What are your thoughts with the pad change?

Late reply, but i sold them, i lost to much bass and they let to much noise to come in from the outside. I much more prefer the original velour pads.

By fun, you mean silly. A simple search shows this headphone sells for under $400 consistently, and saying the Sundara is half the price is lolwtf. And the Tesla drivers are slower in response than the DT-770... oiii.

I'm curious about a sundara/dt 1770 side by side. As a closed back, I haven't found a better sounding option, but they are big and heavy. Sundays sound really good but have a narrower stage and less subbass compared to Phantoms. My gripe with the 1770s was always that the bass was unrosolving. Present, but not well defined. In direct comparison, the dekoni blue sound better. Those have fantastic bass. Best I've heard I think. But man are they ugly. I'd love to throw those drivers in my m100s shell. That would be a legit closed back.
