This should serve as a good visual aid , that's the Legendary M88TG on the left and the DT109 on the right.
Thanks for the visual aid but this, seen in context of the video from which it is taken, is just part of a time line indicating that the DT100 series was released in the 1960's. (the M88 was released in 1962 for instance) I would guess later in the decade than 1960. Not really important in the scheme of things but it would be nice to know.
Certainly an anniversary model of DT100/150 in the mould of the DT770 Anniversary would be nice at some stage. Perhaps a white DT150 with leather pads and headband ? or maybe not.
I'll ask my friends at Beyer , I hope they tell us the exact date !
I am interested , what will Beyer do with their 100 years in business , seeing Beyer choose the DT770 over the DT48 for their 88th Annies was painful , they could have ended the DT48s 75 years run by making it the 88th LE but ...
It is quite hard to choose ....I find the 6XX series and DT150s to complement each other very , very well.

Yes, it is hard to choose, I have noticed they compliment each other well. I am having a case of AKG withdrawal though, can't wait to get my K612 back.

with diff tubes...the DT150 can sound agile or lush, i find this can quite transparent to upstream gears.
I have noticed that too. Would be nice if there were some nice aftermarket cables for the DT 150. Though I do think Beyers cables do tend to be on the good side.

The DT100 is a very peculiar design and I have learnt a lot in these days of owing them , I am more than happy with my purchase ..I feel like a complete **** now , shouldn't have bashed them earlier
