Also, I never underestimate the power of seasonality. I prefer eartips with firmer materials but have been reaching the softer Baroques a lot lately. 🤷‍♂️

Everyone eventually finds their own go-to tips. For me, it's become the Final Type E. They're the only tips that fit me well across multiple sets.
Thats just the first shelf in my experience, there is no such thing as an universal solution for all IEMs is unfortunately the next insight.

azla sednaearfit xelastec work best for me, comfort, insulation and sounds. it is increasingly difficult to obtain them because version 2 now exists.
for those who have azla sednaearfit xelastec and version azla sednaearfit xelastec 2, is it the same for comfort, insulation and sounds ?
I am afraid that the protection added on version 2 will change the sounds.

how long do they hold up for you? they look like something found under the sofa pillow after a few sessions when i tried them.

I have about every tip under the sun and i have to say that both the SMP and the down corning versions of variety dot IE45 are amazing tips, fit and comfort is sublime while not acoustic sacrifice quite the opposite. Varies greatly in price on AE but you can get them for cheap.

I have the Oriolus Szalayi its nozzle is very wide and very short too. Do you think your top pics would stay the same?

Also im experiencing driver flex with my left iem. Are there any tips that help with that?

I find xelastec hold up for around 6-8 months before they deform enough that the tips no longer stay on the nozzle. However they do pick everything up so you have to make sure to store them away from dust or they get nasty quick but that is just a consequence of sticky tips.
Curious if the new xelastec 2 fix that with the new stem but it might also effect the comfort.

I don't hear a meaningful difference.

I always handwash my silicone eartips after use. And they're always as good as new, for instance. YMMV.

Cheers.

Any recommendation for ears with small canal? My ears only fit size SS ear tips
You can try the Spinfit W1. They offer an SS option so that could work for you.

I’ve been cycling through so many ear tips lately to complement my Astrolith.

The best I’ve found so far are the Coreir Brass tips. The medium fits pretty well but cause the IEM to stick out a bit. Do the smaller sizes have smaller metal bores or is it just the silicon housing that is a smaller size?
