This is why size variety packs are helpful. If you’ve already got a set in one size, though, you’ll probably need to get another full set in the next nearest size. I just recently did this for the Divinus wide bores.Yes of course I do the same, but the Velvets are between two sizes in the diameter.

Problem solved: I ordered S, MS and M. I will try MS first: if it doesn't fit in one ear, I need there S and it will fit in the other ear; if it fits in that ear, it won't fit in the other and I need MS here. The wrong size is then sent back packaged. This is why size variety packs are helpful. So I received Penon Liqueur black, and made a quick comparison bethween them and Orange version, and Divinus Velvet for reference. Comfort wise, the seal is more tight in my ears than orange version, and it feels more secure, which is good. Sound wise, I'd say black version kinda similar to Velvet, but more treble. I'm not 100% sure, as I don't have much time or effort to make a thorough comparison right now. What I noticed though, is that all grippy eartips have one problem for me: they click in my ears when I walk. It's not a big deal while listening busy tracks, but when there's calm music, or no music at all, they often do the clicking sounds with each step I make. I know why they do this: the inner side of the dome sticks to the stem, and when it unsticks due to me walking, the click sound being made. For me it's infuriating. I can't stand extraneous sounds when I'm trying to enjoy my music on my way to a rather stressful work. So be aware of this. Aside from that - good eartips, worth a try.

I hope you'll get a third-party's opinion. (Of course, we’ll answer your question, as we have with all your questions, till now, whether in your private messages or emails.) .
However, it’s against Head-Fi rules to discuss this matter here. There would be too many positive facts...

I just used my S&S tips for the first time in a long time this morning, and they're so comfy that I'm not sure if I can go back to the basic shroom shape.
Having said that, I'm gonna get me some Divinus Wides. They're pricey but I'm seeing these brought up in multiple forums.

dunu s&s are also my most comfortable and best material eartips out of 30+.. the sound is also excellent. with this, I just feel that there is nothing in my ear, it disappears so much.I just used my S&S tips for the first time in a long time this morning, and they're so comfy that I'm not sure if I can go back to the basic shroom shape.

I am not sure how to exactly describe the kind of eartip that seems to work for me. Here are some that have worked, and I hope some of you can describe to me the basic parameters of what is common to these? JVC Spiral Dots almost always work; Penon Liqueur (spelling)? in black work also. The clear tips that came with the Letshuoer S12 also have been good.
Very soft sticky tips don't seem to work (and I have tried quite a few, Azla and many others).
Could somebody give me some descriptions of these? I am looking to tighten up bass response in particular.
My goal is to find the right terminology, and pursue experiments down that alley. Thanks!

The tips you mention work fine for me with average-to-long nozzles of medium width on medium-to-large shells. For me and my ears, other tips that fall into a similar category as the Spiral Dots and Liqueur tips are things like Divinus Velvet, Spinfit C100, and Final Type E.I am not sure how to exactly describe the kind of eartip that seems to work for me. But if by “tighten up” the bass, you mean that you’re getting a bit of boom or bloat, then you might want a wider bore instead (something like the Divinus Velvet wide bore or Tri Clarion). That would lessen the bass response and help lend greater clarity and texture to the low end.

With regard to the bass, I find that some tips provide very little bass response. So I am looking for more bass response in general, not less. The tips you mention work fine for me with average-to-long nozzles of medium width on medium-to-large shells. Clean bass is better of course, but I don't want anemic bass. The Divinus Velvet didn't work very well for me. I can look into the Spinfit C100 and Final Type E.
Tip selection is all about experimentation. Too many variables in individual ears, shell sizes, nozzle dimensions, and tips to generalize too much. If no tips I have work with a particular set, I pick up more tips. Rinse and repeat. No substitute for good old fashioned tip rolling! With regard to the bass, I find that some tips provide very little bass response. So I am looking for more bass response in general, not less.

Fine tuning the bass might be achievable with different tips but a genuine and substantial lack of bass is down to a lack of effective seal.
"Very little" bass will be from a bad seal, usually due to fit. Foam tips seems to rob bass on some sets to a certain extent but I am not a fan of foams in general so have not experimented much to better understand what is going on.
As @Hypops said above, if you are not getting the results you want try a bunch of tips, assess what general style of tip seems to work best and get more of that general type to experiment with some more. As he stated, there is simply too much variation in human ear anatomy to make blanket recommendations meaningful.
I have tried tips that many other praised only to literally throw them in the rubbish bin they were so bad for me. That said, I have since learnt not to thrown any tips away despite how bad they might seem because they may very well be perfect for a set of IEM that are in your future.
