Best IEM tips?

Love the clarionsSo far the TRI CLARION are the best.
Flanged at the bottom which is to me at least a no duh for proper fit without being large and bulky.
I always wear XL Eartips anyway though , so they fit and sound the best. I wonder if it’s also because of the large opening in front of the ear tip, where as most are around 4-4.5mm.

I may be mistaken, but I guess this is the first time I tried the Divinus wide bore with the FH19. I recall this eartip not working that well with other IEMs I have here, and quickly being a "forgotten state" afterwards. For obvious reasons.
If there is a learning coming from this exercise, I would risk saying the following: the regular Divinus may be versatile for a good amount of IEMs, but the wide bore version is not that. At least for me. And the reason is simple. FiiO made a really good job fitting-wise with the FH19. Period.
I have so many eartips at this point that I always pick an AZLA eartip to start, as they always work for me.

I’m wondering if the solution is to try a smaller size. Dunno. Might be humidity. Might be ear moisture. They’re the most fickle of my ear tips for sure. I’m currently on a work trip to Chicago, and they’ve been fantastic (on my Ziigaat Estrella) while walking around town. Perfect seal. Makes me think it’s just the weather.

Use Coreir S and MS all the time. Did 2 full days of CanJam London and 1.5 days in Dublin meet this year with the Coreir tips for example. That does not invalidate someone finds Coreir painful. It reiterates ear anatomy is individual and so is the experience with eartips
The wide bore have a relatively shallow depth/height compared to the standard and for me that makes them a somewhat fickle fit also, at least in the small amount of use I have with them.
I think you are spot on with the ear moisture thing insofar as normal ear canal will be a little "lubricated" and allow the tip, any tip, to slide in smoothly and find a nice natural position. A clean dry ear canal will grab some tips depending one the material and shape and they tips don't seem to sit in a natural position, they might get a seal but it might not be reliable since the tip is probably a little deformed.
The standard Velvet don't seem to do that because of the shape and smooth texture, the wide bore share the same texture but the narrow ring of silicone shape doesn't seem to be firm enough to hold shape in a dry ear canal which doesn't help the tip slip into a natural position.
I have the same issue with my IE600 on which I use XLASTEC. New tips in a dry clean ear just after a shower are a headache to get seated, later in the day when the rear canal is naturally more "lubricated" there is no issue. Used tips that have some residual "lubricant" also no issue. They are the best tip for me with the IE600 for a balance of sound, firm hold and comfort so I work around the problem. It might sound gross but I have even rubbed my fingers on a slightly oily forehead (mine

I’ve used the Divinus wide bore tips with the Vision Ears EXT and have to say they’re fantastic! They make the bass sound more energetic and dynamic, adding a larger amount of bass that approaches what you’d get with ‘regular’ headphones. Vocals remain natural and warm, but are positioned further out in the soundstage. Instruments gain space, and everything is clearly defined without any veil. They really turn the EXT into an outstanding in-ear monitor. Thanks for the recommendation!
I also really like them with EXT / EXT Mk2. I’d also recommend spiraldot++ if you haven’t tried them already
I did but i found them too dry sounding. Also they are to expensive for what they do. The Clarion Tri for example are way less expensive and sounds better.
The clarion tips neuter the bass but like their impact on the treble.

I hear great things about divinus velvet tips. I got some on the way. Otherwise I use moondrop spring tips.

Its amazing to me that in many cases the OG Spiral Dots are a good choice for me. How are the new ones? I have the FIIO HS 20 on order, and also some new Penons that are also supposed to disappear into the ear. I have a pair of the Liqueurs and they are pretty nice. If anybody can spot a genre from the list (I didn't mention my losers) please let me know what you might conclude. And what else I should consider. I do have large size ears in terms of tips.
