Just be aware that IEM are a totally different experience from over head cans. I've tried top of the line IEM and wasn't terribly impressed. I really love over ear, it's the closest you can get to the speaker experience. Depends what you value and the kind of sound you like.

Out of all the headphones I've tried, I prefer the HD 598s...

It depends on your music style as well. I admit, they are great for FPS games and classical.

Im starting to think I need closed cans. I dont want any sound coming in or out. My girlfriend is complaining right now when Im writing this.
So what are the options then? Im going to have to sacrifice alot to get closed cans`?

Perhaps the AKG K550?  Been hearing good things about them for a can that's closed back

Here's a nice review: http://www.headfonia.com/akgs-new-reference-the-k550/

My vote goes for the ultrasone pro 750 or 900. Im a techno junkie though. With the ultrasone sig. dj and fostex th-600 (and hopefully 300) coming out i have to say your best bet is to wait if you got $500 to spend.

Can you believe I got a Pro 750 for $110 brand new in box in Australia? The company was having a stock clearance. Agree with antimatter, fantastic for techno junkies : ).

Think Im gonna get a pair of closed cans instead. What are the best to choice from there except the denons? Im trying to get a used pair so I can go up a price range.
Ultrasone? Audio Technica?

yea, but he's thinking closed... or else hd650 would def be a good idea.  however, they are quite demanding for amps... so you need a decent one... my e09k drives is alright... but i get the feeling they'd come alive even more with say a lyr or valhalla.
