Audio Technica ATH- ES 10 Impressions Thread

It took an incredibly long time for the driver to settle down, I absolutely enjoy using mine.(300+ hours)
Infact I use these whenever I listen to cello solo, nothing I own can bring the same sound for cello like the ES10.
I think the people ordered their ES10 from ebay but they are not cheap. I still do not know the improvement they bring beside the fitting comfort.

While I agree that the ES10 benefits from good sources (clean, low distortion, low output impedance, etc...), I don't think they particularly need a good source to shine.

Changing the stock ear pads gives much more of an improvement.

That said, I haven't seen ESW11 ear pads anywhere but eBay. But you can order the ESW9 ear pads directly from Audio Technica, and it fits just fine.

Oh no... but I think you can get them cheaper directly from Audio Technica. At least I know for sure $60 for a pair of ESW9 is too much.

When you say directly from AT, do you mean AT Japan or AT USA?

If you read earlier, esw11 earpads were unavailable from at usa.  They actually were rude about it last time i called, about a month ago.  I had called last year when they were released but they said to call back in a few months.  I did that and got just a hostile reply......sorry, I just wondering.........

So I got my ES10's! I certainly see what everyone is complaining about with the pads... I might order some off eBay ASAP...

I'm finding the clamping force quite tight. Did anyone else get this?
