@fumanshu ....please don't repost/quote all the pictures just to ask a simple question. Just use @plus his name and he will see that you've asked. It takes forever on a mobile to scroll through all of the quoted material, thanks. I appreciate you efforts Maxx to get some good sounding and better fitting pads. I will try the Bose pads.

How much better do these pads look,
when they are perfectly proportioned to the body of the cups, as they look like they should have been...

Instead of having stock pads that look strangely tiny, wierd, and anemic, which is how the stock pads look like when on the Sine.

Shrinking the stock pads just to have the claim of being the first "on-ear" planar was actually an ignorant move.
I can pull out my own Pro30, which was a sweet "on ear" Planar in its day:

So this is nothing new.

Both Audeze "Sine" and HifiMan "Edition S" fell to the idiotic marketing trend or ploy,
that "on-ear" is somehow a more desirable or positive trait.

Anyways they are still my two top choices in portables.
I like both because they both do different signature which cover everything.

My analogy is:
HifiMan Edition S: =
Is like a portable HD800 in spacious brighter tonality, with nice spacious bass.

Audeze Sine: =
Is like a portable Utopia where you have a super transparent dynamic sound with a more intimate stage and high resolution.

So with these two cans, you have everything.

I just whished Audeze gave up on the stupid tiny pads,
And make it over-ear,
like it really obviously looks to be designed for...

And that HifiMan stop saying their Edition S is an "on ear" when it isn't.

Oh well..
Lol

Bose is oval pad.
I didn't try them because didn't look like could fit.

Then tried them.
The plastic around pad fit in the sine groove.
It takes time to stretch on but as you see it works and fit is extremely tight !

Well it has been a while with the Bose pads so onto some long-term impressions.

These pads are simply too hard to put on to be suggested.
More impressions later.

Is your the clipper part on your bose earpads plastic. Mine are and they are super inelastic and hard to put on. I already broke them when trying to put on.

Yes the whole back has a plastic ring.
It not matter if plastic cracked you should still be able to place on.
The trick is to not use any tools, only your fingers bending plastic over and onto the groove.

I position the pad vertically and slip the plastic on one side,
Then I worked rest of pad slowly into the groove on top and other side.
It was not easy, and you have to pinch from inside to get that plastic to bend out to stretch over to the cup groove.

Once on, the pad over night turns exactly to the sine cup shape.
