Can also always try some EQ to boost the bass a bit.

I have tried boosting using both hardware and software, but I can't get the effortles reach down low that I'm getting when I allow the drivers to breathe. And to me, when the seal is slightly broken the signature is just spot on without any SW or HW adjustments. I'll report my findings once I find a suitable tube

This could be interesting.

A bit of pneumatic tubing would do the trick. Then you could drill through the back side of the pads and slide it through.

Received the carbon fiber headband today, was using the Lohb strap until now. It's made a noticeable difference in my opinion, it's not leaps and bounds better but it distributes the weight better. For $339 AUD it's questionable if it's worth the cost but I liked the aesthetic appeal of it too over the Lohb.

Just got my own carbon fiber headband. Clamping force is pretty tight. I'm not sure you can bend and adjust the clamping force of the carbon fiber versus the metal in the stock headbands as I'm afraid to break the carbon fiber.

Overall it looks pretty cool and feels really good on the top of my head. I'd say it's more comfortable than the Lohb pad that I had on my LCD-X.

Maybe we should start a new LCD-3F "tube" rolling thread haha

What is the general thought on the Lohb strap? Is it a true suspension strap? Is it a big improvement over the stock band?

Big improvement, IMO.

Just got my LCD3s. Any recommendations for a DAC/AMP combo that works well with it. I currently have FiiO X7, so I guess I could just line-out to a stand alone amp. I rather have a good 2 in 1 for cosmetic reasons. I'm not sure I'm ready for tube amps yet, so probably SS and prefer to have balanced out.

So here are some of my preferences.
1. 2 in 1 DAC/AMP
2. Solid state
3. balanced out (optional)
4. Transportable
5. Elegant
6. Around $1K from authorized dealer.

Thanks.

It just looks like the hinges are in different spots in the grooves, position them the same and it should even out (shown in 1). For example, move the left one to where the arrow is so it matches the right side, and also check the hinges on the back of the headphone too. The angles should even out and it shouldn't lean. Some have also had bent metal on the black gimble part where the rod attaches so you may want to check that also, that they are the same on both sides (shown in 2).

Thanks for tips, but how do I "move the left one to where the arrow is" ? Do I have to push it out and than put it in correctly again ? Because If I move it now, it will just go back to same position as  is on picture.

The black gimble is ok on both sides.

Just use your fingers to pull it up slightly and move it, it is just held there under tension. It moves around in there anyway as you swivel the cups so it probably won't stay in the same position long term. I wouldn't worry about it actually, if you put it on your head and adjust the headphones they will fit fine as it is. That groove in the wood will smooth out over time and the hinge will move more freely in the groove.

I suspect it's pretty typical with the lcd line: my old lcd 2 were like this, audeze fixed the hinges but I had to send them back. My current xc have the same "issue", but now I'm living too far to send them, anyway once on my head I can't feel the misalignment.

Just get them to send new hinges. My LCD-X was like that. They sent replacements to me in New Zealand at no charge. Installed and problem fixed.
