Did anyone try the Astel Kern Billy Jean IE together with the Sr15? Allready having an eye on them

Yes really enjoying this combo
I think using the balanced connection for them is a must however. The stock SE cable produced a sound that was a little light in my opinion

Billie J’s over a balanced silver dragon a really weighty, full and detailed sound. Great combo

Very interesting reading, I already have a balanced AudioWorks Forza cable that I could use

More power available through the balanced output of course. The Billie Jean's are supposed to be easy to drive but I am finding the extra grunt makes a real difference
Not that the SE sounded bad with the stock cable that's very detailed indeed. Drum beats sounded a bit tippy tappy and now still loads of detail but much more full bodied

I basically made the decision to get the Billie Jeans because of a review I saw at Headphonia

By the way I also swapped out the tips for those 'squeeze and then form to the shape of your ear canal with a tight seal' tips from complyfoam.
The stock tips did not seem to get a very good seal for my ears

Hi did anyone know whether sr15 has other color than gray
Ive found blue color and m.chat version in China with 128gb internal both.

But I cannot see any info of them in the Internet. Can someone live in China /hongkong confirm this is legit or not?

I’ve seen the M Chat version of the SE100 listed on the A&K site: https://www.astellnkern.com/eng/con...scg=CG231960&spos=1&tcg=&tpos=0&gcode=SC32530

Haven’t seen it in an SR15 before, or the blue - the blue looks great, if it is legit I wish they’d release it elsewhere!

An A&K retailer here in New Zealand is having a sale so I just ordered an SR15 at around 15% off normal retail :)

I’ve been eyeing one up for a while - actually visited the same retailer over Xmas to try the SR15 but they didn’t have any in stock. In the meantime I saw a DX200 going cheap in the forums and decided to see what this DX200/amp8 combo is like that gets so much praise. It’s good, but the tone just never quite tickled my fancy.

Can’t wait to try the SR15, should be here later this week. I’ll be pairing it with Shure SRH1540s (balanced via FAW copper cable), Sennheiser HD58Xs (also vía balanced with FAW copper cable) and B&W P7s (single-ended).

Later in the year I might finally dive into the world of IEMs - never actually owned any before, but the small size would be handy so I don’t have to carry headphones in my bag.

Also, I don’t suppose anyone here has tried the SR15 with the iFi xCAN have they?

I have email to iriver but still hasn't got any reply from them. I think its legit because there's an official iriver store in Jd.com which sell this version.
One hesitation for me is about the language support and the firmware support. Will this unit use the same firmware as the other unit (64GB)

The blue was a special limited edition for the Chinese market only and not sold anywhere else. If exported out of China, the warranty will be void since this is a country exclusive product. It also would have the Chinese CN firmware.

Thanks for the confirmation
So the firmware indeed is CN firmware.

How about hongkong unit? Will hk unit share the firmware as the global unit?

Since I cannot read/write any Chinese language, I won't take any chance on the CN firmware.
