I have always charged mine with a standard (non QC) USB wall charger. I have used 5, 7.5 and 12 watt versions at different times. I have also used my Anker Power Bank which supports up to 12 watts. All are 5 volt only.

Any standard mobile phone charger or USB power bank should work without issue to charge.

Is the SR15 going to get the latest firmware update to fix Apple M1, etc? I see that the SP1000 and SE100 did and the SR15 is similar in age.

yes, I believe it is soon. I actually sent an email this morning asking for more info regarding the SR15. Will share once I have info.

Thank you for the response. I'm hoping wifi fixes are part of the update as well. I really like this little DAP and it's form factor. Android 5 is becoming a problem though.
That is indeed quite unfortunate, and extremely disappointing. Even phone companies now update their phones for longer than 4 years. A phone is a general purpose device which should support all kinds of apps, services and eco-systems. So that might be difficult to update. But SR15 is a specific device and 4 years is a very short time for such a device to lose some of its functionality.
I think you are missing a big opportunity here by not updating to newer Android. If you do, you will just give this device and it’s thousands of users years of more enjoyment. Moreover this will send out that A&K is a company that keeps supporting their devices. So A&K devices are not just toys for 3-4 years but investments to be enjoyed maybe for a decade.
I was planning on upgrading to Kann but instead I upgraded my Mojo(which was 7 years old) to Mojo2 and it works perfect with Apple lossless. Chord made mojo2 compatible with their existing stuff (like Poly and keeping the same connections) so I didn’t need to upgrade any other piece in my setup. So that’s a company that values existing customers out there and won’t leave them in the cold. I have no second thoughts on buying their stuff.
I love my SR15 and still use it every week, but I don’t think I will ever buy another A&K device. 4 years use out of £600 device is just not worth it. Sorry

I have to agree here. I have only had mine for 2 years. Obviously I would have never bought it if I knew it would have issues this soon after purchase. And, of course, there is the Roon thing... It's been a month. Update, please?
Planned for this month. Sorry, I thought I had updated the thread. Not sure when this month yet, still waiting for confirmation. Last I heard was 3rd week of August for SR15, KANN CUBE and SA700.
For me, the A&norma SR15 is still my favorite option for walking. It's lightweight and compact. At the same time, the SR15 has quite a lot of power for its size.

I still use mine regularly. It's a shame that it's running Android 5 and apps are starting to drop support. I bought it in Sept 2019 so not quite 3 years old yet.

Astell&Kern Layla AION, Empire Ears Legend EVO, 64 Audio tia Trio I mostly listen with A&ultima SP2000SS, Cayin N6II R01 and CEntrance HiFi-M8 V2. In my opinion, A&norma SR15 does not reveal the potential of the above IEMs. But the SR15 pairs well with Sennheiser IE 800S, ORIVETI O400, Advanced M5-1D, SHURE SE535LTD, Unique Melody 3DT, KBEAR Believe, Shuoer tape and Blon BL-03.
