Received a beta version of new firmware for the SP2000 late last night from our dev team (firmware v. 1.19). We will be testing today and confirming that it fixes the issues mentioned here since the last update.

Is the new firmware restore the sound to 1.16 version?

Can confirm SP2000 being amazing and can confirm offline use of Tidal works well as long as you Sideload Tidal.

My only gripe is that the stock case leaves the user feeling little vulnerable as some of the device is exposed.

Dignis cases fix that wonderfully but for an item this expensive they should have came with a better designed case...

Lastly I got mine from Bloom Audio and they are GREAT in every way.

He did not claim that the sound does not change, only that they do not change the sound profile via firmware update. Maybe it is an unintentional change as i see it happening on other manufacturers dap's during firmware.
I can't say i'm enjoying the sound any less.

Jason, i would appreciate some acknowledgment in relation to the issue of accidental volume control increase and subsequent risk of injury, hearing damage. Consider discussing the implementing of a way for users to set a maximum allowable volume limit.

Yes Jason. What’s going on with the volume control issue? I know it’s still an issue for me and I’m sure others. Still the best solution seems to be ripping the cable out of the device. Acknowledging this issue is rather important to some of us.

No. This is in reference to the on screen volume control which can be swiped up to 150 very easily. Nothing to do with shipping. The topic has been addressed earlier in this thread.

I'm looking for 3.5 plug dust covers but these are the only ones available on amazon australia. Do you think they will work with dignis case?

Would recommend against using anything like this. Our players shut off output to jacks that are not being used to prevent interference. Once the jack recognizes a plug being inserted it turns on the jack. If you are using 2.5 and plug something into 3.5, it will turn off the 2.5 and activate the 3.5 thinking you are changing outputs.

I wasn't being completely serious Jason , but thank you for the reply.
I've ended up ordering these, hopefully they don't interfere with the audio jack. I can always try cutting the stem shorter if they do.

I thought plug detection is based off current flow and not just a physical object being insersted? So wouldn't a plastic/rubber plug not effect it?

Stellia is below average. The dump z1 is ok for only easy yo push headphones. Not great with this 4k headphone.

I actually really liked the Stellia from a short demo, but felt sp2000 drove them 85% of their potential compared to amp'd.
