Hmm could be the earphones I am testing with. They can be quite revealing.

Low end sounds cleaner after 0.08 FW. listening today with Campfire Audio Andromeda and Altas.

Welcome.
Already a happy owner of a AP60 (v1).
Use it alone and with my Mojo.

Can you tell me if the digital output (USB) of the AP80 will be fixed or variable?
On the AP60 it was fixed with the first firmware’s and became variable later.

I think it is better to have a fixed digital output. Best would be to guarantee a bit perfect output for users with external DACs.

Maybe you could work out an option to make the digital output fixed for those who want to use the AP80 as a transport with an external DAC. I’m sure I’m not alone with this request.

@kenloveme Would it be possible to change the drop down volume control to horizontal rather than vertical?

The Hiby vertical can be awkward to control.A horizontal control would have finer control.
Considering we have headphones on any jump in volume would make us all dizzy.

Personally I would only have the Hidizs logo on the left and horizontal volume control on the drop down .
The other full screen volume control i would remove and the drop down activated when the knob is turned.

The other items in the dropdown would not normally be change that often so I dont see the need to have them on a quick setting facility.

The Hiby system has three volume controls which is overkill. drop down,ful screen and knob.
