Nice! These usb dacs are so inexpensive and provide incredible sound! I recently got the ZuperDAC ($75), and am blown away with it out of my S5. Below is a shot of it feeding the VE Monk earbuds (I was running Neutron at the time of that photo, but am finding the UAPP app to sound much better). It also synergizes amazingly well with all of the other headphones I've tried (except for the planars which require an additional amp), so I am extremely happy with this little beast:

That's a testament to the quality of the Sony. I have been fairly underwhelmed so far with my pairing of the TEAC HA P50 and now the Dragonfly. Mainly what you are getting is massive increase in volume to drive big headphones. At the end of the day as long as you have sufficient power 90% of the sound quality is from the headphones themselves IMO so the search is tiny improvement. Invest in headphones is the way to go maybe

I'm also coming to the conclusion that the Z3c is at least as good as my recently repurchased NWZ A15 which I do find even more surprising.

So a simple question, which I somehow can't find the answer to:
 
I m thinking about buyng this bad boy: LUMIX DMC-CM1. Yea I know its a cameradroid, which I am planning to use as my portable music player.
Obviously I need a dac for that, as I don't expect the internals to be pleasing enough. (Thinking about the new Dragonfly red, when its coming out)
The problem is: the phone is not OTG compatible.
Can I still buy it? Is there a workaround? Rooting or something, I am kinda new to the droid+dac game. Pls help....

That means
 
the phone does not have a USB host controller hardware, which is required to work with a USB peripheral like a USB DAC,
 
or
 
the USB host driver software is not included in the kernel of the phone to interface with the available USB host controller hardware.
Usually, developing a USB host driver, which has to interface with a specific hardware environment, and building a resulting kernel have to be done by phone manufacturer developers.

Hey guys, i bought the android sabre dac a few weeks ago. Im now thinking that maybe I have been using it wrong... i plug it into my samsung s6 edge plus then into a cayin c5 portable amp with my headphones into the c5.

Do I have to use the uapp player or onkyo player to get the benefit out of this dac? When you use chord mojo you have to use uapp as my phone will upsample to 192khz or something.

Is this the case with this sabre android dac?

Anybody else use this by the way? How do you find it?

ye, as you can imagine a galaxy s6 edge+ with a sabre hifimediy dac into a cayin c5 is a bit cumbersome. A dragonfly red would cut alot of the weight and cumbersomeness (lol) out. I would use a small velcro strip on the dragonfly and back of my phone case.

Something very cool about the red dragonfly lol. Be awesome to get a comparison with chord mojo

where can i find a list ?  can i use them also with VLC player (sometime i watch some audio concerts) ?

All have USB support. Like the first two. But if your smartphone supports USB DAC thru OTG natively, practically all you can throw at it.
