Hello I ask for your help in the choice of headphones.
I purchased a pair of denon ah d2000 and now after a month, the seller tells me that it can't send because they are finished.

Now I need an alternative. I listen r & b, nusoul, hip pop, brit pop, indie and pop and very important film. The impedance must be low so sometimes i can connected its to the iPhone. Same price or little bit more.

Please help me because after a long search I have to start from scratch.

Heya,

Brainwavz HM5 (or Fischer Audio FA003 or Lindy Premium)
Audio Technica A900X
Ultrasone PRO 750
AKG K550

Very best,

The HD558's (or 598's) are a great pair of headphones for the price, and compete well with the D2000's. They are less expensive than the Denon's and work well out of an iphone.
Of course, they are open, so if you're planning on using these in transit, the 5x8's aren't for you. For home listening however, these are some of the best in the price range.

Heya,

Since when do 558/598's compete at all with a D2000? They're polar opposite headphones and sound nothing like a D2000, especially in the sub-bass department.

Very best,

The Sony MDR Z1000 or MDR 7520
(same headphone except cosmetics
like the logo on the earpieces)

compare very favorably with the Denon D2000.

I have both the Z1000 and D2000
the Z1000 are slightly more detailed
plenty of bass but very slightly less than the Denon

Denon's are a touch darker

both are really excellent headphones;
I'd hate to have to part with either.

I understand the final chioce is between:

AKG k550
Sony z1000 (more expensive)
Audio Technica A900X

Are these ok for movie?

Thanks for your collaboration

AKG is geared for studio use (but not completely) and is closer to flat, accurate.
900x is more "fun" probably not as deep bass in the end, but it's level of bass is higher and has angled drivers.

If you did a comparison, you would probably always pick the 900x's unless EQ was involved.
